Sacramento, CA AAR May 18-19

Wow. Pouring rain in May was quite the surprise.

Thank you to Sacramento Valley Shooting Center for being a wonderful host.

The Saturday AM Redcoat numbers without any instruction were 5 shooters with an effective range o f 100y, 3 shooters at 200y, two shooters got the Headshot, and 1 clearing the redcoat!

At the end of the day the Redcoat results were: 5-100y, 2-200y, 3-300y, 2-400y, 2-headshots, and 0 clears. The shooters were really starting to know what they were about.

At the end of a rainy day there were no riflemen scores yet.

The history as always was evocative and well presented.

Sunday it poured rain during the first half of the day during the instruction reviews. But cleared up for the afternoon AQT's.

Sunday AM Redcoat results were: 3-100y, 1-200y, 2-300y, 1-400y, No clears but 4 Headshots!

Congratulations to Paul who scored his first Rifleman with a 234! By the way he also posted another 217 and 226 later. It sure all came together.

Hans shot a repeat with a 214.

By the end of Sunday we saw everyone improve to include 3-100y, 1-200y, 3-300y, 4-400y, 5 headshots! And 2 clearing the redcoat. Persistence!

Well done everybody. Thank you for attending. Great job pushing through the pouring rain and sticking it out! Thank you for opening up your hearts and your minds. Also thank you for helping us to clean up. You all made this a special weekend. I hope to see you all at the next one.

Thank you to the instructors who made this happen.

Thanks Chris! Your Sunday morning talk with me about not worrying about the score but implementing the steady hold factors really helped get me there. Thanks to all the NorCal Instructors for helping me get that patch! Feels Good! Can't wait to try it again. Appleseed is Awesome!
