An Instructor Development Day was held at Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club. All shooting was with center fire rifles at 25 meters. After a squares target for sighters we had Ball & Dummy exercise. Four AQTs were shot resulting in three requalifications. The three strikes were presented using Three'oEight's new Battle Road map. He was here to see it used for the first time! Some position demos and IMC were included to allow progress on promotions. MaidMarian completed her Red Hat PC. After calling the line while we shot up her old orange hat, she received a nice new red hat christened with North Bridge water. Planeman completed his PC for IIT3. Huzzah!

Congrats, MaidMarian! Your instruction is always top-notch. You totally earned that red hat. Good job on the requal as well. One of these days I'll outshoot you lol

We had an excellent group this weekend and I think Dennis did a GREAT job with this concept, which I think will get even better next time. As promised, here it the link the the instructor thread where I'm keeping charts and graphics for teaching aids:

And to elaborate further on the KD stuff I was attempting to teach, (especially how learning to shoot the same holds with either iron sights or scope on the AQT can maximize results and require less thinking and more plinking, no matter which sighting system you use).

While my verbal teaching skills aren't always easy to follow, using illustrations and more thought out words ,hopefully, does a better job over on the KD board:

"We have always looked upon men as a set of beings naturally free - that a people can never be divested of those invaluable rights and liberties which are necessary to the happiness of individuals, to the well-beings of communities or to a well regulated state, but by their own negligence, imprudence, timidity or rashness. They are seldom lost, but when foolishly forfeited or tamely resigned." ~Jonas Clarke
