Wow, what a fun shoot!  It was unusual in two ways.  First, it was an incredibly beautiful spring day free of downpours like previous years.  And two, we had all adults on the line.  But that said, everyone still had a youthful, patriotic zest.  :F

The first day started off somewhat slow with numerous equipment issues.  Even two loaner rifles which have worked flawlessly for dozens of shoots went done with failures.  But this didn't hold back the improvement with a doubling of hits on the Red Coat target between the morning and afternoon.  By Sunday most of the gremlins had been chased away and the floodgates of improvement really opened ending with a tripling of shooters nailing the 400 and shingle on the red coat target.  I have no doubt that each shooter on the line will persist to earn their patch.

Congratulations to Peter, Vaughn, and Jason who each not only earned their patch but also backed it up with multiple rifleman scores.  Special kudos go to Vaughn who in addition to earning his patch managed to avoid getting thrown in the creek by the instructors for three exact 210 scores.  We also had the opportunity to award our first Distinguished patch to IIT Tundra Badger.  O0

Thanks to the attendees and instructors for making this such a fun and productive shoot.  I hope to see all of you on the line at future events.

Hey this is Jason from the event at red river in Evansville on the 21st-22nd.

2 questions:

1. Are you guys gonna download the pics from the event?

2. How can someone volunteer?

Thanks for taking the time to make me better with a rifle!!
