Saturday morning dawned with a heavy fog upon the land. Seriously, visibility was extremely limited causing a bit of a delay in getting started. Later, the low cloud cover would work to our advantage, keeping the morning sun out of the shooter's eyes. We had a full line of enthusiastic shooters of all ages and experience levels. It was great to have so many young people on the line, Victoria, Braxton, Andrew. Kendra and Gavin, all future riflemen! Even with a slow start, we managed to get in one AQT on Saturday and as a result, our first rifleman! Congratulations, Danny! Huzzah! ^:)^

Sunday morning was much clearer and due to the time change, everyone got an extra hour to rest up for a busy day! Shooters showed how extremely attentive they had been on Saturday with the TPI (Total Participant Involvement) reviews and  were eager  to get the ball rolling with AQT's and drills. At lunch, after DOM's, we were treated to a show and tell by Richard. He brought his Kentucky long rifle, a Garand and a .Mauser k98 WWI . Everyone enjoyed getting a close up look at some great pieces of history.

All the shooters made great progress over the course of the weekend. We ended the day with two more riflemen. Congratulations to Bob and Daniel! Huzzah! ^:)^ If anyone has pics of these two please share, mine did not come out well.  Many more were very close and with persistence and a rifleman always persists, will no doubt will earn their rifleman score very soon. As a last bit of fun,  instructor Headshot Heather handed out some little army men, if  shooter hit it, they could keep it. If not that had to give it back!

My gratitude to the great guys at the Chattooga County Wildlife Association for hosting the event as well as all the hard work they did setting things up. Also, to my instructors, my eternal thanks for making this shoot a success.

It was a great weekend! Although, there were a few pot shots taken at the Shoot Boss! ~~:) IMC….there is only one way to spell it! :cool2:

Congratulations to T.J.8 and to her gallant crew of instructors for running an outstanding event. The pictures say what a memorable event it was, happy smiles all the way around. My heartiest thanks to all. May our efforts be blessed, and may Liberty increase forever!
"It is an indispensable duty, my brethren, which we owe to God and our country, to rouse up and bestir ourselves, and, being animated with a noble zeal for the sacred cause of liberty, to defend our lives and fortunes, even to the shedding of the last drop of blood....

Thank you for your help in getting such an awesome crew, Dr. John! They made my job easy and were a pleasure to work with, I hope to do so again in the future.
