I took a friend and his 4 boys out shooting yesterday. They had never shot much before and one of them was struggling to hit an 8 inch gong at 25 yards w/ ar15 iron sites (22LR). After a little coaching about putting his face up closer to the charging handle instead of as far back as he could.. he was able to get on the 3rd row of AQT targets. The look on his face was great when that gong rung out.

We took a few minutes to talk about holding trigger, calling the shot and mostly NPOA and by the end of the 25 rounds he shot.. he was consistently hitting the 4th row of the AQT.

This, was further confirmation for me that it can be learned... if we listen and unlearn bad habits.
Are you a rifleman, or a cook?

Very nice. If you can start with a student with a teachable attitude, the sky can be the limit. Well done.
