Perfect weather. 20% new Riflemen revealed. A great new IIT. Lots of improvement across the board. Instructor Willorith comes out of retirement.

What more can we ask for, well, other than more students on the line. Other than running at half capacity, it was a truly great event and Margo, heretofore known as "emkay" shot score and promptly took up the orange hat (figuratively - she gits the actual hat at the first event where she serves as an instructor). I know emkay will make a fine instructor, as she is very sharp and already knows her way around a firing line.

We also had another WAC-created IIT on his very first shift - Randy, now knowed as "hardheaded" on the Appleseeds forum. Huzaaah!

John also made score - like five times! Don't recall ever seeing anyone make score so many times at their first event - way to go sir!

And who could forgit precious Eva, only nine, but so self-governed and bubbly - hope we see u agin girl.

Greg nearly made score and Anne improved greatly on Saturday - hope to see u both again. Alex did very well - will likely make score if you dry fire and come back out.

Christopher started slowly, but did very well in the end. Find some shorter mags sir and come back out soon - we'll get you a patch for sure.

It was a pleasure and an honor to meet and work with each of you - students and instructors alike.

Willorith was just an orange hat at the clinic I attended years ago in Manatee. I bet he still remembers the broad that got the hot .308 brass down her pants & let loose with a rather colorful verbal discourse. It's good to see that the Wyoming Antelope Club has finally jumped on the Appleseed bandwagon. I'm sure it was a long hard push to convince them.  How were things with the public line banging away next door??

Great to see Willoworth back on the line instructiing.
"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value."   T Paine

Having the public line next door can get loud at times, but it doesn't take long before it's simply background noise. I love the WAC. It's a great range.

The public line is certainly a challenge on the Line Boss' voice, I can tell you that much! So much I'm considering looking for one of those personal loudspeakers they use on rowing teams and other sports. Other than that, what a great venue. Shade, ceiling fans, clean bathrooms, what's not to like?

Silas,
We all remember that story! It was the club's HP director that got us in and once they saw how we roll - nobody had any more reservations. They gave us five events next year - including an April 19th slot. Huzaaaah!

Thanks for an awesome shoot guys, I have to say that I am utterly ashamed with how I scored, but I will be coming back after much practice, and I'll hopefully be bringing my little brother too. The public line was a little loud at times, but I didn't have any trouble hearing your commands. Thanks once again for a great weekend  :---

Anne and I had a great time at the shoot. Day one was perfect for getting the basics down, positionwise etc. Day two was frustrating for me in that I missed score by two points! and I blame that on my equipment. Savage makes great rifles but the magazines....not so much  :'(
However I did get the head shot on the last target of the day EVEN with PHenry sneaking his AR into action right next to me, scaring the beejeezus out of me with that first shot!  :) :)
Looking forward to another shoot at the WAC, great facility. The instruction was right on point, the Revolutionary War stories were icing on the cake.

It was great to see Appleseed in action again; been too long since my last event (2007/8?).  Wish I could have stuck around for the entire weekend.

Photos! Congrats, John and Emkay. It was a pleasure to work with all of you and look forward to seeing you again soon.

We had a work party last Saturday and a bunch of us (WAC members) placed two rows of railroad ties in front of the Hi Power target stand pipes to keep them from getting shot up during AS events or whenever some miscreant decides to use them as targets. This was Gary, the HP director's idea and shows the level of commitment he holds for our worthy cause.

Three huzaaaaas! for Gary!

PHenry you are on my bucket list to do a shoot with. Maybe you can come up to Georgia sometime and do one with 'Wreck and I can kill 2 birds with one Mozin round!

UD,
If u want to see the best I have ever seen - look to Morpheus as he is the man to beat. In point of fact, GA has a number of truly gifted instructors. Still, many thanks for your vote of confidence.

I will be serving at a RBC in AL early next year, but would love to get to GA again.
