Project Appleseed

There were 15 people who showed up for the last squeak of summer for a great shoot.  Not that Texas pays that much attention to such things.  Thank you for coming out!

We had one person shoot to rifleman standards: Dave cracked it with a 223, and then later shot a 230.  I'd say he earned his patch!

Others were getting closer, and I was told all will come back, so we'll keep the AQTs stocked and the rifleman patches handy.  We did give out a well earned second patch to Adrian.  He more than earned his youth patch given that he never wanted the weekend to end!  All up and down the line there was a lot of grit to be seen.  That's what keeps us hosting events, and there was no lack of determination.

As for the crew, Ron stepped up and took his Orange Hat.  Thanks Ron!  You did a great job on the line.  Don did a good job with his first dip into telling the history.  Jerry and Jeremy both worked hard beforehand setting up and during the shoot instructing.  Mark was dependable as always, and was indispensable this weekend.  Tonya and Sunni put their blue hats to work, and Tonya had a little time on the firing line.  I believe she shot her all time high score.  Congrats!  You are almost there.  Your patch is waiting!

My wife and I have been planning to attend an Appleseed weekend for over two years.  We are both so glad we finally did!  Thank you to the Fredericksburg team for putting this together and for providing the great instruction and coaching.  The dedication, knowledge, passion, and professionalism was very appreciated and motivating.  The history lessons did inspire me, too, and I've added another book to my "to read" list now.

We will certainly return!  And hopefully will be bringing more friends along to introduce them to Project Appleseed.  Thanks again for a great weekend!

Oraly!!! Yall'!!! What can I say. Fall is here, and rounds were popping as we started are fall season with a bang!!!    Congrats' to Dave with a smoking first passing score. Need a orange hat? I wish I had Adrins spunk an energy, great job. com'on back. Brother Ron is going to be a great additon, it was a pleasure working with you!!! Don hit the bulls eye with D.O.M. good job!!! Jerry, Jeremy, Tonya, Sunni, did great as allways!!! Brother Ray did a great job and persevered.
