A great and wonderful way to spend a weekend. Perched high in the Santa Barbara mountains , Winchester canyon gun club hosted another fine shoot. The small group and our  fine instructors fresh off an IBC , gave our shooters very in depth and intensive instruction. There was plenty of opportunity to work through some of the more difficult positions and transitions and the scores improved immensely over the two  days.

Shooter Noah who handy had much time behind a rifle managed to pull a top score of 185 on his AQT after spending some time with instructor Paul on transitions.  ^:)^Keep up the good work and get plenty of d r y practice before the next shoot and I think that you'll be patched in. !!!!!!!!
Returnee shooter LeeWhey also showed impressive improvements over the weekend and had a high score of 202 for the weekend.  O0

We talked about the history and shooter Noah commented on how impressed he was that forgotten heroes like Samuel Whittemore   And Hezekiah Wyman were included and honored.
It's important always remember these souls and learn from their actions that no matter how small an action , great things can transpire.

Much thanks to Ryan and Paul for helping out and being such great instructors.

Thank you Brian, Ryan, Paul & Noah.
As always, I enjoyed participating in an Appleseed event.
Brian, thank you for allowing me to use your scoped rifle and for sharing history.
Ryan and Paul, I thought you both did a great job instructing.
Noah, I'm glad you joined.  You did very well.
I look forward to constructing a target to insure that I am practicing at 25 yards since the berm at the Santa Barbara range is at 17 yards.

Thanks to all for such a fun time this weekend! It was a great to spend 5 of my last 9 days doing Appleseeds!

Noah really impressed me with how quickly he picked everything up. We kept his training up tonight since he even volunteered to come over to clean the 10/22 we loaned him. Now that's a class act!

LeeWhay keeps creeping up on her goal of becoming a Rifleman. I wonder if she'll convert her TechSights over to a scope now? ;)

Paul and Brian, thanks for giving me a break so I could get some shooting in with my problem Mini-14!
