Greetings Shooters!

I'll start this tonight and add more later.

This was our first shoot of the year and this Shoot Boss was just a wee bit rusty from the long winter.  With outstanding assistance from a great Instructor Cadre we had another great shoot at the Fernan Rod and Gun Club.

We had lots of new shooters with unfamiliar rifles, but luckily we were prepared as we had 6 loaner rifles from the Fernan Club that we were able to substitute and keep shooters in the game.  THANK YOU FERNAN!!

We had one successful Rifleman, good job Lew, who actually scored two back to back RM scores.  He then switched to a bolt gun and proceeded to score a 195!  WAY to GO, maybe a potential Orange Hat??  We can only hope.  Two other shooters, Jake and Lexie, were beyond knocking on the door with high 190's.

We saw impressive improvement from the entire Thomas clan, Galina, Skyler, Brothers Colton and Gabe, and Luke.  Nick T., you were rockin Stage 1-standing by the end of the day.  Practice those other positions and you'll be successful on those too.

To the parents, my sincerest thanks for introducing your children to Appleseed and entrusting us to teach them marksmanship and April 19 Heritage.

To all- dryfire is the best and most economical practice you can get on your path to improve as a shooter.  If you send me a PM with your email address, I'll forward dryfire targets to you.  Remember, a Rifleman persists.  All things worth doing take skill which is developed through repetition.

We'll get some photos up soon.  I'll be on the road this week, so if I told you I'd send something, I will, it'll just have to wait until after next weekend.  I hope to see many of you at the Appleseed booth at the Oathkeepers Patriot's Day Rally at the Kootenai Co. Fairgrounds next Saturday.

It was a genuine pleasure meeting and working with all of you.  Why is that you meet the coolest people at an Appleseed?

Fellow Instructors, Mr. Clean, Jeff, Bill, Peter, and Stuart- you guys rock and make it happen.  Peter and Stuart, thanks so much for travelling and helping us out.

Remember the next CDA shoot is June 14-15, and I hope to see all of you there!  Bring friends!

Shoot straight and be safe,

EERT

Thank you so much for all your help!  I learned so much this weekend and had an amazing time.
I really appreciated the positive attitude and supportive nature of all the instructors.

Shoots like this are why I'm an instructor with the program.

We had a lot of new/newish shooters on the line and the progress each of them made from saturday morning to saturday afternoon was absolutely astounding. I want to mention Galina, Lexi, Wendy, Colton, Gabe, Jake, Karen and Luke (and many more) made huge strides in marksmanship over the weekend, and of course Lew who bested the AQT and shot two rifleman scores on sunday. We've got an orange hat waiting for you at the next shoot Lew...

We had numerous under-18 people on the line and while that can be somewhat nerve-wracking, I have to commend each and every one of them for their dedication and strict adherence to safety protocols. Hats off to them and their folks for raising such well behaved, safe shooters.

Watching all the progress made throughout the weekend just makes me giddy. I want to thank Eert and his wife for hosting me over the weekend, and my fellow instructors over doing such an excellent job keeping the line safe and teaching. I also want to thank all of the shooters for getting off the couch, learning about their heritage, and practicing the fundamentals of solid rifle marksmanship. It was truly a pleasure meeting and working with all of you.

I attended my very first Appleseed event just this last weekend, came home with a sore neck, a stiff back and aching bones, the experience is just phenomenal.   I have learned (more like corrected by) the proper techniques in rifle shooting by a group of fantastic instructors.   The history sessions made me more appreciative on what we have been enjoying today but been taking things for granted  (by the way.. I grew up in a British colony myself :-))

Kudos to the Shoot Boss (Pat), the Instructors (Bill, Peter, Jeff, Andy, ... in no particular order... and some names that I have forgotten) for their uber patience and mastery teaching to us noobs.   It was one heck of weekend well spent!

I do want to attend another Appleseed, will try to bring my wife and kids too.   (btw, this is "Lew")

THANK YOU, APPLESEED!

What a fantastic turn-out.  It's exciting to see so many Awakened Americans coming together to hear about our history and heritage.
