You don't know the half of it! This is a premium range. When/if it is expanded to the max distance available it will be beyond awesome. Now if only we could fill the line for every single shoot. Ideas, anyone?
The American Constitution is remarkable for its simplicity; but can only suffice a people habitually correct in their actions, and would be utterly inadequate to the wants of a different nation.  Change the domestic habits of the Americans, their religious devotion, and their high respect for morality, and it will not be necessary to change a single letter in the Constitution in order to vary the whole form of their government. - Francis Grund 1837

Spoken like a true SC.

Yes, the Tomblin clan has done their part - now it's up to the rest of us to do ourn to fill the line. I am headed thar next weekend to work under EngineerShooting so's I can learn some new tricks to pass on to others - like how to spend a portion of life savings to buy property for a DAR.  O0

Have you placed flyers on the campus of Florida State or Tallahassee Community College? Make sure to point out that you can offer loaner rifles because most college students don't have .22 rifles with them

I was afforded the honor of working an event at this range last weekend and I am here to tell you it is an amazing venue! While I have never before seen any other DAR's, this one must surely stand as an example for the rest of the country.

I am humbled by the level of effort and expense that has been put into this fine venue by a small group of very dedicated people. My hat is off to all of you. Huzaaah!

Absolutely. A labor of love, and of patriotism. O0

The line won't be filled by hopeful wishing. The line will be filled by shoe leather and hard work.

I suggest you start off looking into EPT, and using the concept to contact other groups to see if you can get a response.

Second, I'd think about starting a meetup.com group to see if there's similar-minded people in your AO.

Third, I'd be doing all the free stuff - press releases to newspapers and PSAs to local radio stations, etc.

Fourth, I'd check a book out of the library called "Guerrilla Marketing" and see if you can put some of the ideas into action with positive results.

Fifth, I'd try to get some LibertySeeds lined up - any speaking engagement is a great potential plus for filling slots on the firing line.

Sixth, I'd start working on the "Designated Appleseed Neighborhood" concept. See http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=37256.0. What better way to prep for the future than making a bunch of dedicated, patriotic rifleman - right in your neighborhood?

Seventh, something I suspect you are already doing - but which you cannot overdo - is continue to develop a solid local AS team of energetic volunteers. You're gonna need a lot of them.

Eighth, might as well start thinking about how and what you do when this range is filled to capacity every month. Have more than one AS/month? Go to double- and triple-"firing relays"? Check into getting another piece of land? Consider how to expand the existing facility? Lots of options, here.

Once you're done with the above, PM me for more ideas. O0 O0

Good luck! You'll have it, by doing the above. And be sure to IAAR which of the above proves most productive for you!
