Project Appleseed

This was the Fourth event of this year, at The Westchester Countys Sportsman's Center in Cortland Manor, New York.

Thank You to Tino, the facility superintendent, who help make this and other events possible at this very busy range, He has also helped Appleseed secure Four dates for 2014

Fantastic October weather, with chilly mornings and mild afternoons, greeted our students. .

Thirteen individual students joined us for this great weekend, friends and families alike came for a weekend of Heritage and Marksmanship, some old friends and many new friends . One Family showed up in force ! Thank You,  Heather,Billy,Jaelle,Joseph,and Jace :    

We also had a group of NY Guard Members, who are based at nearby Camp Smith, Thank You for your Service   

This weekend brought Appleseed Three, New Young Patriots, Jaelle, Joseph and Kieran , these three with the help of Josey Wales focused most of Sunday on drills and improving Marksmanship, while the rest of the line worked the QDAQT grind. These three eagerly accepted the instruction and by the end of the day, they had all showed significant improvement .

We had Two New Riflemen,   

Rick who shot 219, and then followed that with another 219, and Rich who shot 213 and followed up with 218 Great Shooting

Some of our other shooters are Knocking at the Door of that elusive 210, but I am sure they will surpass their goal, in time , Relax and Practice, Practice, Practice

Westchester is a unique event to say we have a time monkey on our back,would be a understatment (time King Kong would probably describe that better). Rich and Nick really keep things moving,to make this the most educational and enjoyable event possible!

WOW !!!!!! It sounds like there was quite the collection of "RIFLEMEN" and "RIFLEMEN to BE" at the Westchester Appleseed Event!!!!!! WELL DONE!!!!

 Well, grumpy1 pretty well summed this event up.
