A great weekend for Liberty, despite the occasionally inclement weather.

Two lines on Saturday, the 'Adult' line run by me, the 'Scout' line run by Oz, and a crowded, combined line on Sunday. The scouts stuck it out in the cold and rain without their rain gear, laying in the mud.  The adults lounged under canopies eating bon bons....

Well done one and all. 24 shooters on Saturday, with several of the scouts filtering back on Sunday for a total of 17 shooters on a 15 shooter line. Several new and repeat Riflemen including a former Blue Hat with a bruise on his arm. Lots of pics were taken to be posted soon I hope.

The Sunday crew was impressive with almost everyone shooting 150's or above on the first AQT! Lots of steel being banged at the 200 yard line as well!

The Indiana Red Hat crew enabled some serious marksmanship instruction and rounded out the History perfectly.

Thanks to PitMaster for the fine meals and BORCC for welcoming us to their fine facility.

Lot's of grea,t teachable attitudes, awesome down-in-the-dirt instruction and enlightening history. I hope to see you all, shooters and instructors alike, very soon.

Agreed. Some great attitudes and progress by so many. Nate, Madeline, and Charlie are on the cusp of a rifleman score. Congratulations to the new rifleman. Your dedication to attending Appleseed events has clearly shown your understanding or being a Rifleman. I look forward to seeing you on the line in the future.

We have a strong Appleseed program in the Michiana area. Check the schedule regularly for upcoming events. Including a Winterseed at the Watervliet Rod and Gun Club in January.

We will also come to groups for LibertySeeds to tell the story.  www.libertyseed.org

Can't wait to see the pictures.

Captain Noah Cook a Revolutionary War Veteran was my great, great, great,...great grandfather. Noah Cook enlisted in the militia on April 21, 1775 at age 18 upon learning of the Battles of Lexington and Concord that morning. His company left on that day for Concord arriving April 24, 1775.*

Good morning!!!
I've attached a few digitals from the camera. Had an awesome time this weekend with all fellow Appleseeders. Thanks OZ and everyone for helping the newbie Daddy O orange hat learn the ropes....looking forward to contributing more on future outings.
Hope the Niles Troop had a good time....as a scout master myself you can guide boys to preparation but should not prepare for them.....hope they didn't get too soggy on Saturday. I'm looking forward to an outing south of the boarder soon with my native IN. Instructors. Great to meet you guys.

I forgot to mention above. One of the attendees left a gray coat and stocking cap. I have it, if anyone remembers or knows whose it is let me know and we'll figure out how to get it back to them.

Lucky

Just wanted to pop and and give thanks to the great instructor crew and it was nice to see all the young ITs and volunteers!

I was only able to show up on Sunday, but I cleared a pesky redcoat... so goal accomplished.  I don't know if I will get a chance to do another this year, but if not, I look forward to seeing all of you on the line next year.

Thanks,

Mike

Oz

It was another great weekend at BORCC.  Shades of the October 2012 shoot with a soggy Saturday morning leading to a nice afternoon and a beautiful fall Sunday!

Thank you to the shooters who came out to improve their marksmanship and share in the history of April 19, 1775, learning about the difficult choices the founders faced to preserve their liberty.

Congratulations to Neil, Mike and Pants on receiving their Rifleman patch, and to Pants for taking an Orange Hat!

Shooters: dry fire, dry fire, dry fire!  I hope to meet you on the line again!

Wait--there were bon bons Saturday on the other line??   :slap:
