OK gang, which bayonet should I get from the CMP?  They are all $65.00.  Is one better than another or do I just close my eyes and choose one?  This will be an internet purchase:

PB004ENS   Bayonet M1. Used/serviceable MODEL M1 W/SCABBARD
PB003UFH   Bayonet, Model M1 Modified w/SCABBARD. UNION FORK & HOE MFG
PB003AFH   Bayonet, Model M1 Modified w/SCABBARD AMERICAN FORK & HOE
PB003UC    Bayonet, Model M1 Modified w/SCABBARD-UTICA CUTLERY MFG
PB004UC    Bayonet, Model M1 w/ scabbard MANUFACTURED BY UTICA CUTLERY
PB004AFH   Bayonets, Model M1 w/ Scabbard AMERICAN FORK & HOE MFG
PB004UFH   Bayonets, Model M1 w/scabbard UNION FORK AND HOE MFG.

Or none of the above?

Hi UL,

Though these 3 manufacturers made up about 84% of total production, of the 3 uncut makes, UFH seems to be the least common. Also, the early Utica's can often have the crossed cannons, date and a small flaming bomb on the bottom of the blade (where the edge becomes a flat area) near the hilt. Overall, I would prefer that as opposed to the others.

Best of luck to you.

The long ones were the originals,

the others were cut down and then they were forged shorter! ..:..
