Wow!  Excellent first day at Fenton!  Many first-timers, teachable attitides and great groups all around!  Oh, and did I mention, one new Rifleman?  More to follow....

I'll let the shoot boss give the details but we got to share a great  weekend with a good bunch of attentive students with teachable attitudes. All progressed considerably throughout the weekend. A couple new Rifleman, a returning rifleman and several who were "oh so close". I look forward to working with all the students at future Appleseeds. Also had a rifleman join the cadre of instructors and pretty sure of one and maybe two in the near future.

Another great Fenton shoot in the books!  And what a wonderful group of Americans to spend the weekend with!  Everyone was attentive and interested, thank you all for coming out!  I think everyone on the line could recite the six steps to firing the shot!

Three Riflemen!  Congrats Allejandro, Dan and Korry!  To everyone still on the road to Rifleman, do not despair, a Rifleman persists!  The group sizes I saw tell me all of you have it in you!  Practice, read the information packet from registration, and practice some more.  We have plenty more patches waiting with your names on them!

We have a new member of the Michigan Cadre as well!  Welcome aboard Stankster!  I fully credit Mac66's incredibly engaging history with inspiring a new IIT0 to help bail.  O0

A great weekend for all present, this new Shoot Boss would like to thank the Fenton Lakes Gun Club for letting us use their ranges and of course every one of our students for coming out to participate!  I can't think of a better way I'd rather have spent the weekend!

Great weekend with great shooters. The never give up attitude was evident in every student.  A true pleasure to be a part of your journey. Pictures will be posted soon.

Many thanks to Caliper, Mac, Ironsides, Yarn Junkie, Wizard and Miki for working hard to put on such a great event!  I was thrilled to be amongst the company of true Patriots who understand what this country is really about and to receive such great training in rifle marksmanship.  As a naturalized citizen born into tyranny, words cannot adequately express how much the freedoms guaranteed to us by our wonderful Constitution mean to me.

I was also thrilled to be able to achieve rifleman status on my very first AQT!   Watching the army training films posted on youtube back in April and a lot of dry fire practice paid off for this newby.

If I can find some good .22lr ammo, I'll be back in a few weeks to qualify with iron sights.

Thanks again for the fantastic weekend and for posting these photos.

I am Shoot Bossing the July Fenton event.  I will have ammo available for sale at my cost.

Alejandro,

It was a pleasure having you on the line in Fenton. Seeing the photo of your father and grandfather in Cuba during a break made me pause and think. It is often those not born into it but who have to seek liberty who appreciate it the most.  Master those iron sights and then come help us spread the word.

Thanks for the kind words Mac66!  Indeed my family had to give up all of our material possessions and leave grandparents behind to seek freedom in the USA.  They even took my Dad's college class ring off of his finger at the airport when we left with literally "just the clothes on our backs."

I may be back to qualify with the irons on July 21 and my friend Will may also.  I'll make that decision this weekend.  Also thanks intheburbs for the ammo offer.  I was able to find a good cache of Federal Automatch on armslist at a reasonable price so am stocked up.  Hopefully it shoots well in my rifle. :)
