Because I am awesome (inside joke) I have put the below information on three other websites and so far have gotten 166 187 over 200 people to sign up as Life Members. If you are interested see below.

If you want to stand up and join the NRA they now have a $300 life membership offer (Life is usually $1,000)  You can now sign up online at

www.nra-2013.org

You need a sponsor to get the $300 "gift" membership

Here's how.

1.Find a life member or higher.
2. Get their membership number, zip code and email.
3. Go to the above website and use the above info to sign in. The security code they ask for is on the sign in page in a box to the right.
4. Hit the continue button
5. Skip the second page by hitting the continue button again
6. Under the Select A Gift Membership information line, use the draw down menu and check $300 Life Member.
7. Fill out the rest with your information
8. Hit the "Review and complete your transaction" button
9. Use your own info in the "Billing Info" section and then pay with your credit card

You can also sign up as a annual member for $20 the same way.

PM me if you need a sponsor.

I've also been informed that you can call toll free to get the same deal without a sponsor. That number is 1-888-678-7894
I hesitated posting the number because I wasn't sure about it. If Superheat says it's good, it's good.

Actually any Life Member can upgrade to endowment for $250 through that link.

I've already had three 10 people contact me for the life membership.

Mac - maybe you should post in a broader spot than the Michigan sub-board?  Not sure what would be the appropriate "national" spot.  Deals and Steals?

That is a good deal.

If you prefer to talk to a person, Tom Greshem gave a number to get right in.  Last week I tried three times to get a person on the phone and waited 20 minutes each time and gave up.  Today I called 888-678-7894 and got right in.
Pleased to say everyone under my roof is a life member. Yes even the kids.

Tried to sign up, but was unable to login to the promotional website using my NRA membership info.
Frustrated, I called NRA member services and did a little checking regarding the current promotion.
Be advised the phone number is for an outside contractor taking calls for NRA, they are not the NRA.

Nero

Worked for me.  You have to start with mac66's info, then put in your own particulars, including replacing his info on the final screen so your CC transaction will verify.

After several days and several tries, I finally succeeded in becoming an NRA Life Member. AIO! If anyone else is hesitating because they don't use credit cards, PM me and I'll talk you past the hurdles to paying by check.

(In contrast, GOA, SAF, JPFO, SAS and others have all made their memberships really easy and user friendly.)

JPFO is a good one too and next on our list for life membership....O.L.

Share my Experience:
Called 1-888-678-7894
Gave them Name, Address, and Credit Card Info ($300)
They never asked for referrer, codes or anything else.
Whole process took about 3 minutes.

Did ask about upgrading my current membership; they were unable to process that. Apparently, this will have to be done afterwards.

In case anyone cares, the total on the 4 websites who used my information is 267. That doesn't count all the people who passed the info on to others, signed up others or called the 1-888 number.

Now all we have to do is get all those people who signed up to the next step.

1-Sign up with the NRA
2. Wake up with the RWVA
3. Get others to do the same thing.

I took advantage of this a couple of weeks ago. I have also bought a few annual memberships for some nieces and nephews and/their kids. The more the merrier. Since I reload I figured this is a way to spend some of the ammo savings and use some stash.

Not all Americans are lazy, ignorant or apathetic, some just don't know what to do.

Well stated. Ignorance can be resolved through education, but when the deck has been stacked with excessive complications, "knowing what to do" quickly becomes extremely difficult for many otherwise intelligent people.
