Project Appleseed

Thanks to the Franklin County Gun Club for hosting this weekend. This new range worked well for our needs. The wind was howling and the air was cool as we got ready to honor the men and women who made the choice to life as free people rather than be subjects of King George.

Three shooters answered the muster call this fine morning. We made good progress as we opened the fire hose of instruction on them. Caleb and Elijah had participated in an Appleseed last summer in Ackley, IA. Jim was new to Appleseed but certainly not new to shooting. All made quick progress through the day. Saturday ended with an AQT and hopes for warmer weather for Sunday.

Caleb and Elijah couldn't join us for Sunday so Jim got all the attention he could stand. He was so close to shooting to Rifleman standard and will be able to pull it all together at the next shoot he attends. Sunday also allowed the instructors some trigger time to knock off some rust and get some practice in.
