Project Appleseed

Hey everyone, the Miamisburg club moved their Open House to Oct 13 from 10-2PM.  Is anyone interested in working this with me?  We'll be on the 100 yard centerfire range and can do whatever we want.  In the past we just did an informal mini and let visitors shoot from the positions a little bit.  Of course we talked up History as much as we could and promoted our events (next one in Miamisburg is early Nov).

It was pretty busy last time, but left plenty of time for us to use the range as well for some personal trigger time. 

There will be a free lunch provided and a lot of other activities going on around the range.

Please let me know if you want to help so I can let them know if we're in.

Mean Streaker, it's a one day gig right? If so I will help you with it. I assume we can get some trigger time in at some point during the day. Looking forward to meeting you in person. See you in a few weeks.

Corvette, thanks for the help.  Yes, it's only 1 day... in fact not even that.  The event is from 10-2, so I'm guessing minimal setup at 9:30ish?  Feel free to PM if you need directions or anything.  Will be great to meet you!

My flight leaves before you guys are supposed to be there; no shot at a HALO drop-in.   But yes, I'll be having a great time.  Ya'll have fun too, and enjoy the trigger-time...and the free food.

I'll send a PM to everyone who can help with all the details as it gets closer.  We're having a range meeting about it on Wed Oct 3.  Should be pretty low key.  Bring a loaner if you want, and of course whatever you want to personally shoot.  I'll have targets and backers and we'll just have an informal mini.

It's been way too long since we've done some "friendly wagers" and it's high time we do so. I remember doing this event a few years back and it's a nice time of owning the range for a few hours and really flying the Appleseed flag. "This is what we do at Appleseed events. Wanna join us next time?"   

If I'm not officially busy that weekend, I'll do my best to get up there and lend a hand. 

I assume normal Appleseed dress (orange hat, Appleseed tee shirt, Rifleman's vest) is appropriate. What other stuff should I bring?

Popup canopy?  History Maps? (will need canopy to hang these from)? Table for promotional materials? Materials?  5gal water jug? First Aid bag? Extra shooting mats? Extra rifles? Extra chairs? Extra eyes/ears?

You have done these before, let me know what you want me to bring.  I will have two centerfire rifles that I want to sight in with me with ammo (an M1 and a 20" AR15) and an AR 22lr plinker for fun.

Other suggestions also welcome.
