So I decided to build myself an AR...
Billet lower reciever from Sun Devil Mfg. with the logo of a local shop printed on the right side of the mag well.
GI LPK from Palmetto State Armory.
Laminate wood pistol grip and butt stock from Brownell's with a simple rubber butt pad.
Same basic lines as a standard A2 but just a little different look.
Feels pretty good on the shoulder too.

Now to build the upper...
Planning on a 20" barrel with the standard A2 front sight assembly and a flat top receiver with Daniel Defense fixed rear sight.
Forend came with the butt stock and will match with a profile similar to the original triangular M-16 forends.

Got some overtime coming up soon so you might just see it on the line before the year is done.
Fearful but resolute.

The doorway to freedom is framed by the muskets that stood between a vision of of liberty and absolute anarchy at a place called Concord Bridge--Charlton Heston, 1997

"Be a man of principle. Fight for what you believe in. Keep your word. Live with integrity. Be brave. Believe in something bigger than yourself. Serve your country. Teach. Mentor. Give something back to society. Lead from the front. Conquer your fears. Be a good friend. Be humble and be self-confident. Appreciate your friends and family. Be a leader and not a follower. Be valorous on the field of battle. And take responsibility for your actions. Never forget those that were killed. And never let rest those that killed them." -- Major Douglas Zembiec
