Connecting USGI Sling to SAIGA 7.62?

I'd like to step up my game and attempt AQT qualification with my SAIGA 7.62.

How would you recommend connecting the USGI sling to the synthetic stock?

The swivel threads are appear to be quite smaller than the standard ones that I connected to my 10/22's wood stock.

I'd like to use the Uncle Mike's QD 1.25" swivels but the 1" swivels that come with the Saiga have a different screw/stud altogether.

Your guidance is appreciated...

Having used many a zip tie I will tell you they work.

click on accesories and scroll down. They have 1" gi-web slings. You can use the existing swivels.

You could try push button QD swivels, but that would porbably cost close to $100 for gooq gear.

I use a zip tie with my AR, and just run it through the FSB. Works like a charm. Just can't sling up too tight.

Convert it to AK configuration.  Those stocks typically have a 1.25" swivel.  For the front, just use a railed handguard and put a picatinny rail sling swivel on it.  Yeah, not as cheap as zip ties, but you'd have a pretty cool rifle when it is all said and done!  ;)
"Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."
-- Thomas Jefferson to Isaac H. Tiffany, 1819

I have a Saiga 308 and a 762x39.  I simply removed the existing swivels and replace with studs.   Another option is to grind down the hooks that come on the web sling to 1" to go onto the 1" swivels. I did that on a sling for people who show up with 1" non removable swivel loops.
