I was just curious if Appleseed had a theme song.  I heard the song "What have you done" over at www.revolutionrockandroll.com and couldn't help but wonder.

It seems like it might fit, but didn't know if it fit with the theme or if there were any political no-no's in the lyrics.  Just thought I'd share it with you guys though!

Here in Ohio, it's the "Posterboy Dance."  ..:..

Shift your hips... around your elbow.... until your front sight..... is on the target.

...Right?

"Hearing the story of our Heritage told with just dry facts is like hearing Romeo & Juliet through autopsy reports." - Fred

"In 1775, to protect Liberty a man had to knock on his neighbor's door and ask "will you come die with me?"  In 2012, to protect Liberty a man has to knock on his neighbor's door and ask "will you come vote/attend a public meeting/work at a poll with me?"  Jason Russell, and men and women like him, are the reason have a easier task in 2012. The question is, are we up to it?" - YHJ

Hehe... well I can understand that suggestion.  But I do hope you guys at least go to the site and listen to the song!  All three are excellent suggestions, but I'm sure you'll agree that without any visuals the posterboy song just isn't the same...

Well, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band version, is better, IMHO...
The doorway to freedom is framed by the muskets that stood between a vision of of liberty and absolute anarchy at a place called Concord Bridge--Charlton Heston, 1997

"Be a man of principle. Fight for what you believe in. Keep your word. Live with integrity. Be brave. Believe in something bigger than yourself. Serve your country. Teach. Mentor. Give something back to society. Lead from the front. Conquer your fears. Be a good friend. Be humble and be self-confident. Appreciate your friends and family. Be a leader and not a follower. Be valorous on the field of battle. And take responsibility for your actions. Never forget those that were killed. And never let rest those that killed them." -- Major Douglas Zembiec

Unhappy it is ... to reflect that a brother's sword has been sheathed in a brother's breast, and that the once happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?

This has to be the only possible one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B0brdPWdCs

Well don't get me wrong, I spent a Saturday morning last month watching a few episodes of that show with my 9month son...

But it's hard to say he is a good example of establishing your NPOA... I know the TV says he can hit anything from that position, but I'd be mighty frustrated if I caught my son wasting my ammo doing that!

Well howdy!  Too cool to have you here!  So while I'm at it, I think you and Jack did a nice job! (Obviously, it got my vote for theme song.)

Well, yeah. Although, to be fair, he only does that at handgun ranges.

Rifleman's Ballad
(Written on the way back from Albion, NY in Oct 2009.  Yes this post is worthless without mp3s)

What are you doing
for your liberty?
Are you using it well,
shining bright for all to see?
Do you know what it cost
better men than you or me?
We'll never know
but it sure as Hell wasn't for free.

Use it well
Use it well
Liberty
Use it well

Do you think they look down
with pride on today?
Or do you think they frown,
shake their heads and turn away?
All that they won
some just give away.
Will you guard it with me
while we work towards a brighter day?

Guard it well...

What had they wrought?
Something we can keep
if we open our eyes
and awake from our sleep.
Take these seeds and spread them
so that we may reap
Riflemen who know what they're about
with a heritage deep.

Spread it well...

Check your drama at the door.
