This is an interesting piece the Discovery Channel did on the Milgram Experiments.  Although the second experiment was "made for TV" and has basically no scientific value, their findings alluded that Americans have a greater potential for evil than we did in the 1960s.

I saw that back when it came out, pretty good, if you are interested in that you should google an essay that LTC David Grossman wrote title On sheep, wolves, and sheep dogs. A short read but very informational. He has also written a couple books that are good titled On killing and also On combat. Both excellent reads in my openion.

Lord make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true, and my hands faster than those who would seek to destroy me.  Grant me victory over my foes, and those  that wish to do harm to me and mine. Let not my last thought be if I only had my Gun; and loard if today is truly the day that you take me home, let me die in a pile of empty brass.

If you want to do more research on the psychology of evil, read the works on the topic by Dr. Philip Zimbardo, Professor Emeritus at Stanford University.  He is the one who designed and ran the "Stanford Prison Experiment" in 1971 that went wrong pretty quickly.

I'll watch it. After reading/studying the Bible, am I going to learn anything I don't already know? :)...O.L.

Well Grossman goes over hard evidence and gives numbers as far as satatistics about violent offenders. Also on killing and on combat talk about how people inharently don't want to hurt each other, excluding the 1%, and how the military basicly brain washes you, and dehumanizes the enemy to get soldiers to kill. It also deals with PTSD and explains about the factors that cause it and the social sigmas that are associated in the civilian population that follows shoot no shoot situations. Alittle off target and not exactly Appleseed but its a good read that I would reccomend to anyone.

Yep, I've watched his video Bullet Proof Mind and read his books..Right on the money. I was referencing the "studies" on the discovery channel. What I got out of it? Was we've been brainwashed to seperate "authority" and "morality" in our minds since the 1950's. Or it could be phrased another way, seperating "state" and "Church" which is 180 degrees out from what our founders intended. The fact most would continue to obey authority (state) when they knew it was morally wrong shows which they hold in highest regard. It also shows how one person with the courage to stand up to that authority can make a difference. One person to plant the seed...And from it liberty can grow. Back to work! :)....O.L.
