Project Appleseed

    What a great weekend !  If you ask me, this is perfect time of year for Appleseeding.  But then again, I say that about every Appleseed I attend.  The line was filled with an attentive group of shooters, ready and eager to learn.  After hearing the 3 strikes on Saturday I could see the anticipation for the Dangerous Old Men stories on Sunday.  It is always rewarding to share the oral history of our heritage passed down from our forefathers.  Amongst our students; two branches of our Armed Services were represented, the Army and Air Force along with the Boy Scouts of America.   A couple of family's and a couple of dangerous old men rounded out the field of students.  A real community affair.
     As always, I am  impressed with the professionalism and dedication of the instructor cadre.  I really appreciate working with a crew that quietly pitches in and just flat out "git's er dun". 
    As another Appleseed  fades into history; one  might wonder,  If the story of our heritage inspired a future President, an upcoming Senator, a school board member, or just a parent raising their child to love our Country.

Sounds like another great day in the Valley. Had a great time on the planes so think we balanced out.

Was wondering how the rest of the "home team" was doing across the Guadalupes.  Glad you had a great shoot.  Congratulations, Victoria!!!

Congrats Victoria! Show them boys how to do it! We had 3 others shooting 200's that no doubt would have crossed that line had we not ran out of daylight! One was a 14 year old young man who was really getting it together. Many thanks to all!....O.L.

What a great shoot, it is always a pleasure working with such a great cadre and a great bunch of Americans! Congrats to our new Riflewoman! now I just have to build her a rifle of her own....

 Hey Aaron,

       Thanks to "Tori" I had to put a scope on Shorty's rifle.  The quest for the patch goes on! I almost hate to say " as usual" but the consistant (slow) improvement in our shooting and patient instruction of our instructors is why we keep returning.

        The zeal and the inspiration are contagious and I hope to see the day when there is a Rifleman/woman and awakened American behind every Yucca. Thank you all.

Congratulations, Victoria!  I sure hated missing Sunday and you getting that esteemed patch.  You go Girl! 
Hoping to be back in the saddle, or the firing line soon!  May everyone have a blessed Thanksgiving!  I give many thanks every "Seed" I attend!
Aaron, hope you'll send pics of that rifle you build!  Betcha it'll be a beaut!

A huge thanks to all the instructors that were out there! Being as inexperienced as I am with shooting, it was a real pleasure to be able to do so well and I owe that all to the methods and definitely the experienced and friendly instructors. Y'all had no problems with any of my questions and were always approachable, so I owe shooting as well as I did to everyone that was out there. Y'all definitely kept a smile on my face and made my first Appleseed shoot a memorable one. Becoming a Riflewoman was just icing on the cake  . I cant wait for my next Appleseed, and hopefully I'll be showing off a new rifle! Now if I can just get Aaron to help me, I'll be uploading a few pictures from the shoot. I hope to see everyone soon!
