Well, it was another mud seed in Como.  After having fine weather (for Como) for the last two 'seeds, we were fooled into believing we would have another.  Saturday was as nice as it gets.  Sunday, though started cloudy.  We weren't supposed to get rain but then again, this is Como.

Anyway, Saturday saw 7 shooters on the line ranging from 77 year old Louis to 11 year old Emily.  Thanks to Louis, hornet41 had somebody he could relate to (just kidding!)  Byran, our only returning shooter, had new equipment this time and was determined to get his patch.  Al, Vince, Zach and Dave were also getting fed from the firehose.  Emily and her dad left after lunch, but I'm sure they'll be back.

Sunday saw Bryan, Al, Vince and Zach return to experience the real Como.  Yep, it rained.   Anyway, by days end, Bryan shot a 210 and took a hat.  Everybody else saw a 170+ on their AQT's.  Huzzah to all and thanks to hornet41 and halsyon005 for keeping me out of trouble.

Well, what to say? Como and rain!! Like bread and butter!! Can't have one without the other!!!
Everyone had a great time and progressed. Bryan became Rifleman on the last AQT of the day Sunday, exhibiting great persistence in spite of the abysmal conditions:D and accepted an Orange hat :D :D. Albert showed up Saturday with a 10xsomething scope mounted on his 10-22. Needless to say he didn't fair very well and came Sunday with a wally world special 4x and shot well. It only took one scope adjustment to get him sighted in!! Gee Whiz, that IMC stuff really works!!
Emily came with her single shot bolt 22 and was banging away in prone and having a great time. A Rifle women in the making for sure!! She tired out and her and Dad left early Saturday but I hope they return!
Vince made great progress and Zach showed great persistence through the weekend. Louis set an example for us all!
Our beloved Shoot Boss  kept everything running and threw in several NPOA drills with squares as the group needed "touching up"!!! All in all another great shoot attended by fine Americans!!!

RunnFree

Congrats on the new Rifleman and Orange Hat.  I remember the Mudseed I went thru to get my Patch myself at that location.  I need to make a trip down there again.

Well it took me a while to get back to comment, but, I can't say enough about how great our weekend was. Zach and I had a blast.
   8) Saturday was picture
perfect.  Sunday brought rain.  :-X  We both learned a lot. We are planning our next 2 Appleseeds all ready. I can't get over well Louis shot at 77 years young. Zach has not stopped talking about the weekend. We purchased a Marlin 795 in anticipation of our next Appleseed.
We are both looking forward to it.  :)
Thanks to Eb and the guys for a well run shoot.
Look forward to seeing you all in December, we are planning on doing the Manchester Appleseed in November.
Thanks Chef Vince
