I'm getting this started for my husband. I AM his organization!

The instructors were Jim (oneshot_onehole), Peter (MtnManPrepper), Elizabeth (ColoradoBoots) who was in her period dress on Saturday, and me.

We had a wonderful shoot this past weekend with outstanding weather. There was an amazing gain in marksmanship skills for every one of the gals.

The students ate up the history.  Several of the attendees were homeschool families.

Our youngest student, Talitha (11) won a cracker shoot by herself against the other students placed in teams of two.  For that she got a "Shoot like a girl" hat.  This was on her first day of shooting, ever!

She was so excited and grateful to the instructors that she wouldn't go to bed Saturday until she had baked us each a loaf of cinnamon swirl bread, from flour she ground for her baking business (yes, her own business at 11).

There was always an excited, energetic buzz among the ladies which we tried to quell with chocolate.  It didn't work.

Everyone paid close attention to the instruction and asked lots of questions.

One of the students shot a 196 on the AQT, all from a seated position with excellent groups. She's looking at possibly attending the upcoming Byers event.

We finally had to say we were tired to the request for "one more AQT." It was getting pretty late. We had lots of help breaking down and cleaning up despite the mosquitos there were determined to eat us in the late afternoon.

I have some pictures from Jackie that were emailed to Peter. If I can figure it out, I'll get them posted.

Please, everyone, post about your experience  at this shoot!  If you have pictures, please share them if you would. We would all love to see them.

It was an honor, as always, to work with these instructors and a privilege to be with these ladies.

Shirley here (Highandright on the forum). I had a great weekend at the Ramah shoot. Jim was an outstanding Shoot Boss, and Kim, Elizabeth and Peter were all terrific instructors as well. I came a long way this weekend. The shoot was well organized and well paced. It stayed light-hearted, too. We had a great group of gals and I love the mom's who bring their daughters. Right on! Thanks Jackie, for turning in some pictures.

I am going to try for the Ramah October shoot....'cause I think I am getting close....

Thanks again to all the instructors. You are great for giving your time and knowledge to us. You are great citizens.

Thank you, Shirley!  It was great seeing you at another shoot.  We appreciate the kind words.  That was a fun shoot - same course of fire, same message, but with a really fun element added in.  Fudge helps.

As we said it's usually just a couple little tweaks that will get you to your Rifleman patch. I hope you make it to the Ramah shoot and get farther down that path.
