The weather forecast was pretty bad, but the weekend turned out to be pretty good!  Nine patriotic Americans rubbed the sleep from their eyes, jumped out of bed early on Saturday morning, and headed to Slippery Rock Sportsman's Club for a weekend of American heritage and marksmanship instruction.

Thanks to the folks at Slippery Rock for another fantastic job of hosting.  The lunches were great, as always, and the facility is outstanding.  Thanks also to Sgtrock and Spanner for making the long drive to contribute your expertise.

Two of the students came close to qualifying, and hopefully all nine will come back bringing friends and neighbors.  Next month is the last Applessed of 2011 at Slippery Rock.  Hope to see you all there!

Thanks to Sgt Rock for use of the sling and Spanner for the 1 on 1 instruction on position and LS3 for keeping everything running smoothly.

The Girls and I will be back.  My brother intends on comming back for Oct. also.

Still working to fill the lines.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

Another nice shoot in PA, This is one Great State here, I feel pretty lucky to have the opportunity to help out with the shoots in this state, and be able to work with such outstanding instructors as Spanner and EZ3
Slippery Rock Sportman Club like EZ3 says, is one of the most accommodating clubs that I've been to, the hosts go out of they're way to make sure everyone is taken care of, the food is great as well as the coffee (my nectar of life),,,
To all the students, fine job you guys and gals did, one more shoot next month, you will be surprised to see how all the instruction will fall into place the next time you are on a range, I plan on being there next month to round out the season at Slippery Rock hope to see you there,,,
