This is supposed to come out in three weeks. I pre-ordered.

Author runs the Survival Podcast. He is promotes AS on the show, but has not attended one. He thinks it is more "tactical and Militia" than traditional riflecraft.
I hope to correct that. He is saying much the same thing as we are.
I am sending him a packet of RWVA promo materials today (if I can get out of the driveway  ;D)

I have not heard the pod casts, may be worth listening to.  The 22 Rifle ad at face value looks like a 'gathering' of Fred's earlier posts; time will tell though.

I have been listening to Jack since he got started with his podcasts.  He is very gifted - a walking encyclopedia on modern survival.  Look fwd to picking up his book.

Heard him mention Appleseed in his podcast today.  His initial reactions to Appleseed based on his visiting the website were interesting.  I'd really like to hear him interview an Appleseed representative on his show - he has quite a growing audience.

Indeed Java Guy. I got hooked on the show recently myself. The man is working hard to actually be making a full-time living from podcasting. I wrote him about doing an AS show, as well as correcting the "tactical and militia" stuff. He is interested in appearing on Rifleman Radio as well.

There is a tie-in to April 1775 here as well. As you know, Jack Spirkos form of survivalism is not the hide in your basement with 30,000 rounds of 7.62X39and 40 cases of MRE's. He talks a lot about the skills for modern Americans to provide for their own needs. The building of self sufficient households and self reliant economies is another part of the Spirit of 1775 that needs to be reclaimed as well!

I enjoy his podcast as well. Ironically I first heard of it at an Appleseed. I think there are a lot of like minded folks that listen to him that could benefit from Appleseed. I've written to him and Scout and I think they are going to hook up at some point and have Jack as a guest on Appleseed Radio. Maybe in return, he'll have one of our guys on his podcast. I think it would benefit both programs and help reach our ultimate goal of saving our country.

I just checked, and the book is "not out yet" - altho you can sign up in advance for a 20% discount.

I'm planning to get one for review.

Now, has there been any followup in terms of talking more with this fellow? Surely, he provides some way to contact him on his podcast?

Don't hold your breath.

I signed up to be notified when it was to released. That was last year. Have not heard anything since.

I'm curious to read and learn what he has to say..

The three awake can rouse a town. By turning the whole place upside down.

The many awake can make such a fuss. It finally awakens the rest of us.

What brings together men liberated from local and national limitations is also what keeps them apart. What pushes for greater rationality is also what nourishes the irrationality of hierarchical exploitation and repression.  What creates society's abstract power also creates its concrete unfreedom.

I stay in contact with Jack and he has been on the radio show and I have done an episode of the Survival Podcast (he has a good crew around 25,000 subscribers). He will come on the show and do a spot to explain and sell the book.

Perhaps we can get a few appleseeders to let Jack know we are interisted.

He filters email by subject so sending a few or more than a few emails to "jack at thesurvivalpodcast.com" with a subject of "question for jack" and perhaps he will at least update someone or the books site.

I already sent one email. Who knows it can hurt.
