Project Appleseed

I just saw the post about a Topeka area shoot.  I know I haven't logged on in a while...
However,  My two sons and myself have driven to Pittsburg twice.  But CCGC has such a nice range.
If anyone has approached CCGC I'd like to know the outcome.  I am sure I could get at least 6 or 7 young shooters and more if I beat the bushes.

Have you shot out there?  If so how was the experience? 

Are you a member? or Know a member.    A foot in the door by having an inside contact is ussally better thatn a cold call.

CCGC looks like they are busy most weekends which could mean good exposure for AS if an agreement could be reached. 

If I recall you shot a Rifleman score and have attended two Appleseeds.  Any chance of you taking the OH and helping by being local BOTG?

One possible option for the Topeka area is to use the Hunter Education range up at the State Lake. It only sees maybe one weekend /month open to the public so it might be worth talking to the folk who run it and see if it's available for an AS shoot.
