Thanks to the hard work of the Indiana crew, and the fine skills of Jay Pea, we now have a new promotional video ready for use.  It is 100 original materials and free of any legal/royalty issues.

A copy is here on youtube:

Project Appleseed - History, Heritage and Marksmanship (Video)

A full res copy can be made available to anyone who wants it (900mb in size) for use where it makes sense to use it.

Again, thanks to everyone who has been quietly working on this project for many months now and especially to Jay Pea for all her hard sweat and patience in the cold of Winterseeding.

Appleseed: Bringing the Past into the Present to save our Future.

Castle Mountain

This is a very fresh video, well done, crisp. A solid presentation.

It is linked to other videos which I was surprised that the French Media video was not included as it was
a superior production and one we use at gun shows along with the Fox News broadcast , Ft. Stewart
and Western Rose's Cactus Cutties' We are the children of America.

Nice job tech, I am adding it to my repertoire.

Thanks

Cheers,

But seriously folks..... We should hit the snot out of this to move it up Youtube's priority listing.

Why!?!? It already has a great representative in Ohmslaw/PeaShooter.  I think that he was fantastic.  Very photogenic and what a mastery of the subject matter......... :)

Very nice! How would I go about getting a DVD of this (I'm assuming that at 900MB that's the only way it's getting shipped out!)?

Unless there's an FTP site somewhere, of course.
Unhappy it is ... to reflect that a brother's sword has been sheathed in a brother's breast, and that the once happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?

I have access to a commercial duplicator, once we get the final-final-final version I will be burning DVDs. At least enough to hold back the tide until someone comes up with a better plan.

This is great! I know a lot of hard work and a lot of love went into this project. What a wonderful tool you have provided us with. Many, many thanks. :) ~ Two Wolves
A moral compass provides a basis for making decisions; an action is good or bad, right or wrong when viewed in the light of the individual's moral bearing. If no moral compass exists for the individual, then decisions and actions are made on the basis of purely subjective thoughts. This leads to "If it makes me happy, or makes me feel good, or if it's something I simply want to do, then it is right and good."

You've got a point there, Mr. Huffman.

If you did that and posted it on Youtube, then it would become an instant hit!  YT couldn't handle the amount of viewers that would want to see you.

What we do in life echoes in Eternity

Good video!

However, I must take exception to one thing that the fellow in the black cap with glasses spoke about. Specifically, the idea about the Government trusting us with firearms (@ 1:20).

It seems to me as though that concept mentioned in the video goes against everything the colonialists stood for as they fought the British, and it is why we have the 2nd Amendment.

The problem is that those in Government today do NOT trust the average "good citizen" (see: Thomas Jefferson) to own firearms.
- All you have to do is look at the gun grabber legislation that is always popping up (and enacted).

Therefore, I'd like to see that statement edited out of the video.

Thank you.

yellowhousejake

I was that man who made the statement (there is about 5 minutes of that concept that was edited out), and it is a statement I have thought about for over thirty years.

Our government, the people, do trust us with firearms, it is in the constitution, it's in the voters response to gun grabbing legislation, otherwise they would have been totally banned decades ago. The government is the people, the people need to take an active role, when they do, the legislation will no longer be an issue.

That is why we are here, like the minutemen of Lexington, not to win new freedom, but to preserve those we already have.

I was not the guy in the video, well, I was but not that part.  I think that comment is an excellent comment.  I believe our government does trust us with firearms.  They trust us enough that we are allowed the continued existence of the the Appleseed Project without the interference of the state so that we may educate folks about marksmanship and wake up Americans.  In fact, the government, of which we are functioning part, allows many organizations to engage in firearms education and training and sport.  The government is even willing to ship rifles, not least of which is the M1 Garand, the sledge hammer of battle rifles, to your front door at a significantly reduced price through the Civilian Marksmanship Program.  Why would we, as actors in it, and the government do such a thing if the citizenry was not worthy of trust?

Not only are we worthy of it, but we can prove our worth through responsible possession and competency in marksmanship.    This is, I believe, the active role to which Yellowhousejake has alluded.  I am happy to have that comment in the video and most stringently advise it not be edited out.  The video itself, and the actions depicted in it, are proof enough of the veracity of Jake's claim.
