What great people! What a great event! What a great range! What perfect weather!

It doesn't git any better than last weekend's event at the Flagler Gun and Archery Club. Two Rifleman on Saturday and three more on Sunday - wow! From young Gabriella, who could barely hit paper on Saturday AM and went on to shooting good groups, to Tammy who brung her fine son Tyler never intending to shoot, but decided to do so and spent the entire weekend grinning - ya'll were a treat and I'll never say diffrnt.  And to Kim, who insisted on giving each of the instructors one of her hand-made rifle cartridge pens - many, many thanks! Look for Kim's info on out Florida "Support our supporters" page and see about getting one of these fine writing instruments for yourself.

To our Riflemen, Glen, Jeff, Robert, Tamara, & Micheal - congratulations!  :--- :--- :--- :--- Persistence is the key and ya'll have it for sure. So many others shot so well too - dry fire at home and we'll get you into a patch of your own soon.

So many good people in one place - my soul is renewed. So many of you made a point to shake my hand and thank me, when it is I who should be thanking you for offering us such great teachable attitudes and the blessing of meeting you. All of the instructors agreed that this was a great crowd. Ya'll are welcome on any Appleseed firing line, anywhere, anytime.

We got off to a slightly slow start Saturday, but with some slight pruning of the program of instruction were still able to git a couple AQTs in. By Sunday all of the shooters were well accustomed to the drill and we got at least five AQTs in, as well as a brief known distance discussion for all. Several brung center-fire rifles and that's always nice to hear. We had everything from folks who had never shot to thems well acquainted with things that go bang.

As always, lunches and breaks were taken as a group and one of the instructors did their best to tell the history of our storied ancestors. It's always great to see Americans listen closely to the story of April 19th, 1775 and see their interest peaked, just as was my own the first time I heard the truth of that day. Ours is a very unique heritage and by remembering, we honor the Founders and the gift that they bestowed upon us. We know most come to shoot and we much appreciate your attention during our long-winded recitations.  :-[

Don, from the Flagler club came out and made sure we had everything we needed - many thanks sir. A number of club members stopped in to see what was going on, so hopefully they'' express some interest and we can get another event lined up. As last time, the club talked a couple good folks into feeding us - many thanks. Please consider joining the club and lending your support to help them stay open - it's a great facility.

We ran right to the end of available daylight on Sunday and just like Saturday when asked if they wanted to shoot another AQT or wrap it up - a preponderance of hands shot up for AQT!
I'd say that all in all, we done Lady Liberty proud!  O0

Please pass the word on and get your friends, co-workers and family to come out to our next event. It's all about raw numbers - the more people we can expose to the fine traditions of the Founders - the better chance we will have of preserving Liberty for our posterity.

From all of the instructors, thank you to everyone who attended.

This was my first appleseed as an an instructor, and I understand now what PHenry gets out of Appleseed. It is truely rewarding to put time and effort into other people and see them improve. I would like to thank the attendees for giving me their time and teachable attitudes. It was an honor to instruct such a fine group of Americans.
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.

Weekends like this one really make it all worth while. Great attitudes make for quick learners and happy instructors. Thank you all for keeping the spirit alive. We had some great folks come out to learn Heritage and Marksmanship--and learn they did. Five new Riflemen over the weekend! And I can see several more coming with just a bit more practice and persistence. Isaac Davis would be proud of your grit and determination and I can imagine him looking down from Heaven above with a smile on his face. Eric and Trey: you guys amaze me and only an enduring love of liberty must allow you keep up such excellent work. Dr. John: your passion for The Story is infectious and you bring such detail to a tale that every American should know and take pride in. Smoak: it was a pleasure working with you and I truly do hope to do many more events in your company. And you can bring your family any time you want! And finally, I am so pleased that my precious bride Janet, aka: RamboGranny, chose to take up the orange hat and jump headlong into the awakening of sleeping Americans. You cannot know how much it means to me...

Thanks for coming out everyone; it was a pleasure and a honor to serve such a fine group.

I was asked by my cousin Christi and her husband Glen to attend this event. I will say I thought it would be so easy to hit a target on a piece of paper boy was I wrong. I had only planned on attending Saturday but I liked it so much I came back Sunday. The instructors all took the time to teach me the NPOA which I had a hard time getting down on Saturday, but By Sunday I was doing better. I will defiantly be at another event!  I loved to see the passion all the instructors had when talking about the history. I appreciate all the help from everyone there. Hope to see everyone at my next event!

I'm so glad you came Ree. Looking forward to more appleseed events with you and hopefully more of our family in attendance. I too appreciate the passion of the instructors as they share the history. It is one of the reasons I encouraged Glen to be an instructor. He loves history.

Thanks to all the instructors! You all were very helpful throughout, yet kept things moving along. This was a fantastic event and the weather cooperated to make it even better. I look forward to the next event in N FL and have already lined up one person to ride along and am working on another. They marveled at all the gun trouble I had (I'm the guy with the 22LR conversion that crapped out at the end of day 1....figured out what it was, dirty mags, now it runs flawlessly) and yet I was still able it make it in the end.

I shoot organized events regularly, yet this is the most fun I've had in quite some time and the amount of instruction provided in such short time was phenomenal. I really understood the necessity of NPOA when I began using my centerfire rifle (and especially when I tried 9mm4545's Garand!) to remain on target at shoot in cadence. No way I could have done that before this event.

Thanks again!

A little bit of editing shows the three new Riflemen which rose to the top on Sunday. Great job, y'all!
