Here is hoping that all the Indiana Seeders have weathered the recent storm safely.  Especially those of you in the northern climes!

Just got phone/internet cable repaired. 2" to 3" of Ice/snow in my driveway.  Took a good 1/2" - 1" of ice off vehicles yesterday. Tuesday the tree limbs kept breaking and bouncing off the roof all night. Limbs are everywhere, one tree is leaning against the house. No damage to the house that I've found so far.

Lost several trees on the property. Few more days and I may get out of the driveway!

My county just got the State of Emergency lifted - yay for being one of the last three!  Rimshot paid the neighbor kid to plow the drive - I should've slipped him a little extra to get the garbage cans to the road and make a path to the mailbox through all 18 inches!   ;)
Other than that, things were relatively quiet for us.  Stuck in the house from Tuesday night through early this morning with power and internet - kinda hard to complain about that!  Take care, everyone!

The county where I do my student teaching didn't get a speck of ice.  All this good nap weather and I have to go shovel insanity into the next generation.

Three inches of fresh snow on top of the four inches of ice on my driveway. Another few inches tomorrow they say. Sounds like good shooting weather to me.

Yep!  Hit it last sunday, will do the same this one.  Don't know how people make it through the week without doing either a seed or a range trip on the weekend.

Yeah, I've missed my range time so far this week.  Jonesing like crazy!  Hopefully I'll get out there tomorrow with SamD.
Your version of "ineffective" does not necessarily reflect the truth....
Having been "ineffectively" taught to the Rifleman Standard and having been "ineffectively" taught to teach others to the Rifleman Standard, I believe I prefer the "ineffective" over the other choice.

I've got approx 5" of snow on top of ice.  Driveway 1/3 cleared.  Would love to be out shooting, but the roads aren't in the best of condition, especially CR700 into the club.
Dry fire time!

The road to my back yard range is clear for tomorrow, and I picked up another brick of CCI at the grocery this morning. Gotta get Niecie ready for Bedford, she needs to break in her Carharts.

You've got it, Dave.
DRY FIRE TIME!   :~   We need a moticon for Dry Firing.
Our snow was 2" to 3" and now is mostly gone.  But, here is a little eye candy:
This was taken Saturday at the house in Shreveport, LA just North of I-20.  Two views looking out the Bedroom Window.  Just practicing using my HTC EVO phone.
Well, this week its out to the range for some real firing.  O0 :~
And, scraping off the rust and getting out the polish for upcoming Seeds.
Ya'll have a great year.

Wow, POP - look at all that snow.  I reckon you could have a Winterseed in your backyard!

I wish oh wish, wish, wish, I was "seeding" this upcoming weekend, but unfortunately I'll have to settle for 7th stepping as I'm preparing for the new NHRA season to start in CA.   Somehow, I've got to figure out a way to combine fast cars and shooting.   Any ideas, anyone?    :cool2:
Hopefully, I can squeeze in a little shooting in the back yard on Sunday before I have to start my wagon train west.

Criticism is the only known antidote to error.  David Brin

What a nation has done, a nation can aspire to.
Dr. Jerry Pournelle

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck."
