Another great Appleseed in Atlanta, TX this past weekend. We are fortunate to have such a great host in the Harrison family. Thank you all for letting us use your property to hold events. Without folks like you it just wouldn't be possible.

Saturday started with 8 shooters on the line. Four from the Purifoy family, a Deputy Sheriff with his daughter and her boyfriend formed another group, and another gentleman who was flying solo for the day. We even got a visit from a couple of State Troopers Saturday morning who seemed really interested in what we were doing. Both had big smiles when they learned that Peace Officers shoot free with our program. After a little while they were called away for duty, but they left with a handful of literature to spread the news to their co-workers.

Due to the dismal weather forecast our numbers were reduced on Sunday. We did receive a few brief showers Saturday night and Sunday morning, but it ended up not being nearly as bad as the weatherman was thinking. The great news is, 100% of the shooters on Sunday achieved a score of 210 or more!

Ok..Ok... So there were only two, but both Shawn and his Dad, Michael put it all together and made their rounds count. We'll have to let them tell everyone which of them had the higher score!  ;D

We had a great group and we are all glad you made it out!

It was a good shoot and with the turn-out some what limited some of us rookie instructors looked at it as a chance to polish up on some instructing skills. Although many of us have a ways to go. It was a good shoot and I always enjoy teaching folks Rifle Markmanship and working the trail with my fellow instructors. Can't wait for the next one.

I love the photos and the shooters received some top instruction from our outstanding Texas instructors!!

Congrats to our new riflemen!  :---  :---

No way around it, Atlanta's just a great place to Appleseed! The Harrisons (hosts) were, as always, very hospitable and helpful. My hat's off to them!

All of the Orange Hats advanced a level with the patient guidance of reddot. I think we all had a great experience being able to devote the time for 1 on 1 instruction for much of the day Saturday. The folks on my end of the line made good progress, and two of them earned their patches Sunday. It was a genuine pleasure working with the whole Purifoy family.

We had some good discussions about history (those home school folks are pretty sharp!), and all enjoyed the marksmanship. Bottom line, everyone had a great time.

I could say that this was a great Appleseed (It was  O0), but aren't they all?
A super group of students and the nicest hosts you could ever ask for.  This is the best student to instructor ratio I've seen and it sure makes it easier. Having said that, I'd like to have the same group of instructors with about 50 or so students.  That would work, too  ^:)^ ^:)^ And as Spitstickler's already pointed out, we had 100% of the class make Rifleman on Sunday  8) 8) 8)
The instructors were all great, but you already knew that, they're all Riflemen, the best company in the world!!

I'm not sure what I can add that hasn't already been said.

It was a great shoot!!
