Or maybe just weekend day trips?  Well here's a site that highlights "Day Long Revolutionary War Road Trips" in the northeast.

How about a week long boat trip, "A Revolutionary Week Along the Champlain Canal"?

Of course, no serious Revolutionary War history buff would miss The Fort Ticonderoga National Historic Site, Saratoga National Historical Park,  the Oriskany Battlefield State Historic Site, or Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site.

These are just a few of the many Revolutionary War historical sites in NY.  What a fantastic way to spend a day or a weekend with the family away from the distractions of modern life; and to rekindle the fire of the history and heritage of being an American.
