OK, I'll see you guys tomorrow night, prob about suppertime.

If anyone has an extra air mattress, I'd sure appreciate a loan (I'll have a bag).

Dalesp, Scarecrow, A-bomb and I are going to try to get there by 11:00.

Fred, the cabins have beds... they don't have the softest mattresses in the world, but they might be a little nicer than an air mattress.

See you all soon!

Scarecrow

I can bring my two air mattresses. That way there will be a choice.
The big dorm had no bunks in July. The small lodges have no heat.
I expect we can send a runner for groceries for lunch supplies.
Guess I can bring "Darth LTR" if we are going to winterseed the QDAQT.

gpbbiker

Not to step on anyones toes (4bfox & ][ )  :)
But the bunk house has a full compliment of bunks and a "Master Bedroom" with a twin mattress which I "ASSUME" will be made available.
The Bunk House is heated, we have running water and an inside bathroom and showers!! ^:)^
It even has a Table with Chairs and furniture! Quite an upgrade from what it was like in July!! Sorry guys, the pool, (cement pond)  has been drained, the ducks and geese were starting to be a problem and the floating sheets of ice were presenting a hazard.
Pretty good digs if you ask a poor old Nebraska/Kansas country boy like me! ++)

Scarecrow

Good deal. I did not want to shower in the bath house out by the pool.

I'm bringing an electric space heater, so if it gets cramped in the heated main bunk house, I can take one of those cozy little cabins, with any hardy folk who care to join me.  I may do that anyway, if you old men keep me awake with your snoring.    ;D

Crazy Tim

Stepped up to the plate after making the grade last month in Brighton, CO.  This weekend, I gave myself a birthday present and traveled 500 miles for the AIBC in Eureka, KS.

What a powerful experience!  Fred led the training, so needless to say, it was another experience of drinking from a fire hose.  But I learned so much and had a great time.  After meeting so many fantastic people from Kansas and Oklahoma with such a passion for the Appleseed mission, I feel even more jazzed than I did after earning that first Rifleman patch!

What a way to get started.

Special thanks to Ben (4bfox) for making this happen.

GO PROJECT EUREKA!!!!

The ][rishman

Thanks to everyone who came out to make this a success.

Crazy Tim drove Nine hours to be here.  That's dedication.

Happy Birhtday to Crazy Tim and Henschman.

Of course, thank you Fred.

And thank you 4bfox for all your admin work in making this happen.

This will take me a few days to think about everything we discussed.  Powerful stuff.
I'm sure pics will follow.

MAN....talk about drinking from the firehose! Whew....my head hurts....so much information!

I agree with ][, will take a few days for it all to sink in. Thanks to our wonderful hosts Audie and Bonnie at Christian Hills Camp, who I forgot to mention earlier, RE-UPed for 2011 earlier this week!  So our monthly shoots and RBC in Eureka are nailed down for ANOTHER YEAR! Huzzah!

THANKS to everyone who came out.....those who couldn't make it....you missed one heck of a weekend!

Some Pictures!
and yes, the fire in the fireplace is real! And it stayed stoked! With 40+mph north winds and 15 degrees the building's heaters had a heck of a time keeping up! The whole north and west sides are lined with (leaky) windows!

I also had a great time and learned sooooooo much. It was nice to see so many familiar faces and some new ones too. Such great people and very uplifting subject matter. I agree lots to take in and think about but it really gets your motivation going. Always keep our eyes on the mission.
Thank you to Fred for taking your time and spending it with all of us O0
Hope to see everyone again real soon. :~ :~

A-Bomb

Was a pleasure to meet Fred and everyone else I had not already met. I'm always happy to be a among fellow Appleseeders. Even those I don't know immediately become friends.
