This was sent to my email and I wanted to share it with everyone that made the Athens Ladyseed a success!

----------------------------------------

   Hi,

This is Cynthia from WV.  I just did LadySeed at Athens yesterday.  I cannot offer enough compliments.
What an outstanding crew, and the range hospitality was, well, let's just say I felt like I was in West Virginia, and that is high praise.  They were the best!  They have a fantastic range/club setup there : )

I wish someone kept a list of contacts so that when future LadySeeds are offered, we would be notified.  I will definitely come again!  And, I will bring friends, and a cooking husband.

And I will say again how important having the segregated LadySeed shoots are to many women participating.  For my part, this shoot was an experience not comparable in any way to the one Appleseed I'd been able to attend.  It did not disappoint!  It is a compliment to the LadySeed volunteers and the program.

From Shoot Boss Dinky to IIT Donna who worked with me, and all the other women instructors, what an amazing crew!  I'm looking forward to seeing all of them again.

Thanks again Ohio for a delightful experience,
   Cynthia

Thanks for passing this along.  Thanks for your input Cindi it was a pleasure to have you on the line.  It was great to be there for the first Ohio Ladies Seed!  What a wonderful sight to see a line of women of all ages (11 to 60+), mothers and daughters, friends, wives, and those that came on their own from many different experiences coming together to share the weekend and share the AS experience!  Thanks too to the many gentlemen that provided support to the weekend cooking, cleaning, line set up and clean up and general support.  It was a pleasure working with Dinky, NR, and meeting Pam for the first time.  Carolyn and Angie keep up the progress those 201's were great!  Jennifer what a great first AS event looking forward to seeing you at a future shoot too I imagine Dustin will get you there.  I loved seeing the sets of mothers and daughters too:)

Thanks for being there to make Ohio AS history!

D...I guess I had the 60+ category represented, and I'm down with that  %)

Truly a treat to spend that day with you and a great bunch of women.  And that dry cooking 15 minutes three times a week must have really had an impact on the cooks because the food was delish and plentiful.

I look forward to seeing all of you again on the AS/LS trail.

It was a great weekend, indeed! My daughters and I are all looking forward to coming to another Appleseed.

You know it was a group of girls attending when the knitting and crochet needles came out. Next time, I'll bring mine, too. There may be a Ravelry group for Appleseeders soon. (that's a knitting and crocheting forum, with patterns online.  titus2quilter (me), musi07 (Jennifer), or noobykniiter (Brynn) are on there. The more Appleseeder, the merrier!)

I had heard of Dinky from the board here enough to know she'd be a great shoot boss, but other than that, I wasn't sure what to expect. She was outstanding! Her patience with my 11 year old was amazing. This daughter is best described as "pinning jello to the wall" because of her bounce and short attention span. Dinky had her attention, and she stayed on task, without any trouble. Laura wants to know how to get an orange hat. I think she's hooked!

The orange hats all were a pleasure to work with.  I'll be practicing trigger control with a clicky pen as suggested. Thanks, NR, for getting down on the ground, and holding my finger down so I could really feel what I was doing wrong!

And Nurse Ratchett provided us really good food! The lasagna was great! The "manslaves" were good humored about all of the females shooting when they couldn't, and took very good care of us.

Sounds like you girls had about as much fun as we did at Gibsonburg Ohio last weekend   ^:)^
