Another wonderful weekend of Appleseed in Grand Island!!

We had a total of 10 shooters on Saturday, and 6 on Sunday! The few who were not able to return on Sunday where pretty bummed out about their tight work schedules interfering. Everyone had a wonderful time and made lots of progress. We have several Riflemen in the making. All are headed home to practice and perfect the skills they have learned. I look forward to seeing them all again in October fulfilling the 7th step. And of course making Rifleman!

What an awesome weekend!  Heartland Public Shooting Park was a great host - a big thanks to Dave, a club Range Safety Officer, for taking care of all the logistics with the club to make this shoot happen.  We had only two shooters preregistered, but had an additional eight show up Saturday AM.  The group was great, and like Gibbs said, progress toward becoming a Rifleman was made by everyone.  A big congrats to Gibbs, by the way, who was completed his requirements for promotion to IIT3!  Here are a few pics from the weekend:

Welcome to Heartland!

The range was fantastic - the covered firing line prevented us from being cooked by the hot August sun.

That sling on your rifle is used for more than just carrying it.

Who can tell me what caused the British Regulars to flee from North Bridge after a 2 minute encounter with the colonials?

Stage 2 of the AQT.

I'm looking forward to seeing a bunch of these Appleseeders back at the October shoot at Heartland - each bringing at least one other shooter with them, of course!   ;)
