You could not have asked for a better weekend for an Appleseed, despite the weather, it was to say the least, cold, [not sticking to the ground snow] and rain until sunday at around 1400 hrs or 2 pm, but there are 3 more people that know what they are about in Burlington Flats NY.

They are in order of Rifleman Patches Earned, as follows

Bud O.      1st Appleseed with a 218  a proud Marine as well
Dan B.      3rd Appleseed with a 210 and he Accepted The Orange Hat to help bail O0
Brianna D. 2nd Appleseed with a 211 and she Accepted The Orange Hat as well, oh and by the way, she is only 14yrs. old, she has worked awfully hard for this ever since her first AS in Oct of 09 at B-Flats where she was knocking on the door with a 208 as her best at that time,
Excellent,  job well done. ^:)^

Austin
Our youngest shooter was 10yrs. old and he did it with an air rifle, what a job he did, with transitions to boot, he will make a fine rifleman in short order. All of our young people on the line, are part of our Junior Rifle Program with the exception of Austin, won't be long, he has a heart that is bigger than he is  :---

Patriot Patches were awarded to
   Josiah  his 2nd Appleseed
   Johnny his 2nd Appleseed
   Austin  his 1st  Appleseed

All of the shooters that came out for this shoot are in my opinion, some of the finest that this country has to offer they all did a fantastic job.
We have a few more knocking on the door of the coveted Rifleman patch.

The Burlington Flats Fish and Game Club provided a perfect chicken dinner with trimmings on Saturday and a out of this world spaghetti dinner on sunday
nobody went hungry I tell ya,,
Our cooks and My mentors and Friends Fred E. and Glen K. prepared and provided the food Saturday a small nominal charge and sunday they donated everything to feed us free of charge, my word, I am just So Proud to be a part of this community,, Hospitality that cannot be challenged.

I would also like to Thank our club Vise President and a Good Friend, Dave K. , With the most appreciated help setting this shoot up with me, he took a day off from work to spruce up the club, help with logistics, setting the line up, with serving food and clean up of equipment, I  could not have asked for better support, Thanks Dave.

My IIT's
M1Tanker and Xena did an outstanding job on the line, M1's history just keeps getting better and better, he did strikes 1 and 3, fine job
With mud up to our elbows on the line, these two dove right in, mud, rain, snow, it doesn't matter they get the job done, they provided much appreciated one on one instructing, it was pretty cool to witness, I am so at ease with them on the line, I know it will be a safe shoot.

I am most Proud to have been able to Shoot Boss [IT] this shoot solo, I have much to learn I know, the Appleseed Trail will let you know what you have to do that is forsure.

All in all it was a very safe shoot, These friends of ours that were on this line can be very proud of the job they did, They all have the Heart of A Rifleman

We also had the distinct privilege to have been donated to our Jr Rifle Team and our club for our Appleseed shoots an upper receiver [.22cal conversion for an AR, Model M4-22 from Chiappa Firearms it functioned flawlessly, Thank You, it will be enjoyed for years to come by our kids on our team.

Again I am so very honored and humbled to have been able to do this shoot on my home range.

Pictures to follow.

Great job and great turn out.  The younger shooters are the future of our country, I'm glad to see so many being guided by the message of Appleseed.

Another D.O.M.

Nicely done Stoner, Adam & Ashley!

I don't think I've been to the range yet when the sun was shining and the wind was calm.  I'm looking forward to that day...

Sounds like you had a fantastic turnout of shooters - and THREE Rifleman patches awarded as well!  I know Brianna was really looking forward to earning hers - but had no idea she had also set her sights on the Orange Hat.  Congratulations and Thank You Brianna!  Your addition to The Burlington Flats Crew is greatly appreciated.

Looks like we'll all be working the July shoot together...

You folks always host a fantastic shoot and there's no shortage of hospitality whenever we drive out to the range.

Congratulations to all - I'm truly looking forward to my next trip to Burlington Flats F&G!

Man alive - if you guys are going to cook like that for every appleseed I'm signing up! Burlington Flats hospitality is getting to be legendary.

Congratuations shooters - esp Brianna - she was so close at last fall's shoot, I'm glad she got there.  (Maybe she was holding out for a purple patch!) I'm betting a 100 rds SgtRock was welling up on that one.

I finally made it to my first Appleseed.  SGTROCK has been one of Appleseed's biggest supporters within our Fish and Game Club for quite sometime.  Seeing this Appleseed in person made me wish I had signed up.  It was just a wonderful event, there were Brothers, Sisters, Fathers, Mothers and even a few Grandfather with their Grandchildren shooting side by side.  It was COLD and WINDY on Sunday but the cries I heard were "Another ADT"  or  "I just got my riflemans score!!!"  there was not one peep about it being too muddy cold or windy.  I was just watching and I was cold and wind burnt but your participants just kept going.   If anyone is concerned about this "Younger Generation" after seeing this Appleseed and the number of young people shooting and how well they presented themselves make not dout that,  "YES, America has taught is't children well".

If you never have been to a Appleseed don't just go.  Sign up, bring a gun and you will have more fun learning to shoot and about the birth of our nation than you would ever believe.

Again  thanks to SGTROCK XENA M1TANKER  for you time and commitment

To our new riflemen and riflewoman keep up the great shooting  O0 :~

Wow is all I can say about this Appleseed, Last year I was a cook this time I just missed Rifleman with a 205 its tuff  &) I have to say every person on that line was in Rifleman mode weather was a combination of everything but it stopped no one!  To SgtRock I just LOVE Your passion for our Country & The Appleseed Project you just radiate it, you make it impossible to not feel your passion I know my daughter Brianna is going to learn alot from you and the other instructor's :))  To M1Tanker you also radiate your passion for our country and the Applseed Project it was very enjoyable receiving instruction and History from you keep up the Great Job!  Xena wow the way you can get into your postion & steady hold on the rifle is so very impressive! you were a huge asset to Brianna with your constant encourgement to get into her rifleman bubble!  The three of you make an Awesome team you should all be very proud :D  There's no better place to be at an Appleseed Shoot than Burlington Flats, its good down home hospitality and pride in everyone involved.  I will most Definately be back for the July shoot rain, shine, snow?, wind whatever I'm going after that Rifleman Score and to learn more about the history of the Rifleman.  A Great big Thank-You to everyone involved :---

This was a great shoot to be at.  The pace that SgtRock set, I think was perfect especially for all the young shooters that were on the line.  I was thoroughly impressed with the level of maturity that those future riflemen and women demonstrated on the line and there resilience.  Any time I looked around the line I saw a smile on their faces.

I think Burlington experienced the gambit of weather conditions during the shoot as well, we started out with snow, sleet, then rain, wind and finally some sunshine at the end.  This was my third shoot and I have yet to see a fair weather Appleseed, I'm hoping in July for that to change, but even if it doesn't a rifleman will preserve.

It was an honor to earn my riflemen patch at my home range and to be offered the orange hat.  I look forward to future Appleseeds and living up to the high marks that SgtRock, M1Tanker and Xena have set as instructors.

The highlight of the weekend was to see Brianna earn her patch.  She never gave up on achieving that goal she had set last October.

Excellent appleseed all around.  The weather only made it more enjoyable as who want to have to deal with that sun reflecting off of the targets.

It was my personal honor to see my brother, Odin, make rifleman and accept his orange hat.  It was also indeed my honor to pour some cold water on his head for that 210 score of his.  He will be an asset to the appleseed program.

I also want to congratulate Brianna and Bud for earning their rifleman patches and Brianna especially for accepting the orange hat.  I can't wait to work with her.

Everybody that attended this shoot is a great American and an asset to this country.

Congrats Odin! You will defiantly be an asset to the program.

Brianna, everyone knew it would only take one more Appleseed for you to get it done. Great job! Look forward to watching you call the line.

Bud. Welcome to the Rifleman club. You were probably wincing every time you had to jump when them Army boys were barking at you but you know how to deal with pain, right?

I believe I said in the AAR from Oct that if you are in the B-Flats area don't mess with the Junior rifle team. Let me rephrase that.... If you are in the B-Flats area, don't mess with anyone. The town is breeding Americans who know very well what they are about.

Nice job stgrock. Too bad you are not going to be at Van Etten but OH shoots are cool I guess. :P

Good pictures.  I particularly like the ones of the classroom with the '76 flag in the background.  We'll be back...

Thanks for taking them,
