Title: Welcome to the Connecticut State Board! So now what do you do?
Post by: CortJestir on September 24, 2009, 01:22:08 PM
Congratulations! And thank you for stepping up and helping your fellow CT Appleseeders build a successful and self-sufficient Appleseed program in the Great Constitution State.

As you know, this is a volunteer organization and your help is only limited by your desire to see Appleseed grow in this state. With that said, your level of volunteerism is self-selected - you decide how much time and effort you can "donate" to our cause. Any help, no matter the amount of time and effort, is appreciated and valued.

The first step is to let me know who you are and how to contact you. Please PM me your info or send an email to CTAppleseed@gmail.com or ct@appleseedinfo.org. In your PM or email, please include the following:

Secondly, this CT-specific forum will be used and maximized to coordinate our efforts. With a "virtual" organization like Project Appleseed, it is even more important to have clear lines of communication. This forum and email will be the primary means of this communication. Phone calls will be used for timely matters or for coordination as we approach Appleseed shoots. This is why it is vital you provide your contact information to me.

In that regard, please ensure you check this forum as frequently as possible. If that cannot be accomplished, have the forum software email you every time a new topic is posted in this forum. To do this, simply click the "Notify" link in the top right-hand corner of the Topics page of this forum (this is the page listing all the Topics and not this page). Click "OK" when the confirmation screen appears.

That's it - some very simple first steps to get you started.

Connecticut has benefited from a great start through the hard work of folks both out-of-state and right here in your own backyard - folks who have traveled long distances to make Riflemen and teach the heritage, folks who have given up many weekends and time with family to plant the seed. Let's make sure to take advantage of this momentum and show our gratitude by growing Appleseed in The Constitution State.

In the near future, posts will be added to this board detailing help needed, information about activities, and other discussions concerning Appleseed in CT. I hope you will contribute to these discussions, stepping up where and when you can. Thank you again for helping push the Applecart.

Best regards,

Todd // CortJestir
