Post by: Appleseed on July 29, 2009, 08:43:16 PM
                                                                        Join the RWVA!

The Revolutionary War Veterans Association is a non-profit service organization devoted to Liberty, the history of April 19, 1775, and the preservation of the America our Founders entrusted to us.

Benefits of joining:

Become eligible to purchase surplus rifles and ammo offered by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) (http://www.odcmp.com) like the M1 Garand.  To purchase from the CMP you must be a member of a CMP-affiliated club.   RWVA makes it easy with our low-cost Associate Membership.

As a member of RWVA, you may order M14 & M1 Garand repair parts through the CMP. For a current list of parts, call the CMP Civilian Support Detachment at Port Clinton, OH at (888) 267-0796 or (419) 635-2141, or visit www.odcmp.com (http://www.odcmp.com).

Maintain eligibility to order up to 12 rifles per year.   As a member of RWVA, you will be eligible to participate each year you are a member.

Military personnel (active, Guard, & Reserve), NRA-Certified Rifle & Pistol Instructors, and military veterans who served honorably can join and order an M1 Garand from CMP immediately -- there is no shooting requirement.  Others must provide proof of marksmanship activity - such as attendance at an Appleseed - to demonstrate marksmanship and knowledge of range procedures and safety.

You can Join RWVA for 1 year, 5 years, Lifetime or as a "Shooting Member" (details below) here:  Join the RWVA/Appleseed (https://appleseedinfo.org/donations/)
