Title: Important note to anyone with kids
Post by: TX Will on June 14, 2020, 05:51:00 PM
There are many things that your children shouldn't talk about with
friends. Hope you have had this discussion.

Absolute madness. A school calls the police after a BB gun is seen in a
boy's home during a virtual lesson. Principal says having it in your
home during virtual lesson is like bringing it to school. Cops came and
searched the house.

Saw that. There's a lot to be said. Fortunately, the reactions that I've heard have not been in support of the school. One important lesson: A warrant is there for your protection. If they don't have it, then they don't need inside. I'd also recommend some sort of firearm legal insurance program - there are multiple good options available.

Then again we homeschool, so we usually support our childrens' teachers O0

Hmmm. This one hits a bit close to home.  My wife is a teacher at one of the elementary schools here in Anchorage (3rd grade).  After this covid business took off last March, she taught all her classes online (Zoom I think) and, oh, the stories she has about what is going on in the background of her student's homes. Through this medium A LOT of teachers are getting a peek into the homes of their students and some teachers, it would seem, are acting on that which they witness.

I'll show her this thread. Among her peers she's in the minority in that she is very pro second amendment.

This is very interesting and provocative at the same time.

Thanks for posting this.
