I'd like to sign-up my 11-1/2 year-old daughter in Lewiston, Idaho, but it looks like the U.N. (via the U.S. State Department) "got to" Appleseed since my wife and I attended and shot our patches several years ago. The sign up page says "with ID" for under-18 youths.
We are all U.S. citizens but I really don't wish to acquire a travel permission slip ("papers") for my daughter in the form of an expensive U.S. Passport at such an young age--especially since it would take some sort of emergency for us to voluntarily subject ourselves to the abusive TSA these days, and exercise our natural right to travel beyond the borders of the U.S. (or even airline flights within the borders).
Will there be an ID problem? We could present a copy of our daughter's birth certificate, if necessary.
Thanks!

Welcome back, Sir.
Thank you for the honor of trusting us to teach your daughter.
Your daughter will not need ID. Your word as a parent is good enough for us that she's an American under 18. :)

You are welcome and thank you for being part of a program that works hard to most efficaciously preserve the heritage of liberty and the founding of our nation for our daughter and future generations!
My wife and I will be re-engaging with Appleseed for sure. My wife even started the IIT program, but other life priorities, like tasks related to the physical relocation of our family, got in the way for us for a while.
The ID is for the 16 year old male that has a fuller beard than I ever will. ;)
Haha--I get your point, Charles, and I probably should just leave my reply at that!
Thank you for seeking more information rather than just not coming as I'm sure some have.
