Post by: connibear on March 04, 2014, 10:35:03 PM
An interview with trisha on Shooting it Straight will air tomorrow evening Wed. March 5th at 6p.m. central time. It covers what is Project Appleseed, dates, times, Mission Statement, history, the whole nine yards. This may have also opened up a school or two to get in for a Liberty Seed in the St. Louis area.

So tune in if you're able. Here is the link to listen: http://www.talkstl.com/shooting-straight-dennis-convy/ (http://www.talkstl.com/shooting-straight-dennis-convy/)

I hope I did well for you all in Missouri!! I stumbled a little, I think because I was soo nervous, first radio interview if that weren't obvious... :P

I hope I have the opportunity to make it down to MO this year!! It'd be an 8 hour drive but I love visiting other states :)

Just listened while eating lunch.  You did fine and any nervousness didn't come through.  You had a nice relaxed approach...take it from someone who has done several radio interviews for AS and work, it is easy to talk to fast and too much.  You did fine.

A good takeaway for all of us from this is -- make sure you have your talking points well prepped.  It was obvious that Trisha had done this work already.  In this interview, the hosts and Trisha played off of each other well.  Felt like they had prepped and the hosts asked all the questions I would have want them to have asked...giving Trisha the ability to SOM SOM and hit our important points.  If they don't do this, you should have the top messages you want to get across laid out and try to work them in during the discussion...and check them off during the interview.  If you reach near the end of the segment, you should try to make it a point to hit the most important.

Great job.
