Title: Annapolis July20 AAR
Post by: Ratchett on July 23, 2013, 02:06:29 AM
Once again the beautiful Anne Arundel Fish & Game Assoc was the setting for an Appleseed Marksmanship and Heritage Clinic. Even though numbers were lower than usual, (thought to be due to heat and threat of thunderstorms) the heart and perseverance of riflemen/women was ever present!

7 Patriotic souls joined instructors on the line, braved the heat and humidity, and showed great improvement in their marksmanship skills by days end. What was more important, they walked away with a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by the founding generation for the liberties and freedoms we so graciously are granted today.

Jill, Rob, and Eric, repeat Appleseed attendees honed their skills, self diagnosed their targets, and showed impressive scores. Next month Eric will join the instructor cadre under a shiny new orange hat  O0

Our first time attendees drank from the fire hose all day and absorbed as much as they possibly could!
Misty, Grant, Jim, and Howie showed great improvement and saw their groups shrink throughout the day, began to diagnosis their own issues as they listened to their what their targets were telling them and made the adjustments necessary. They also saw score improvements as we rolled through 3 timed AQTs after a practice round with 'time' called on each stage.

Grant even outscored Mom (Misty) on the final round---Huzzah Grant!!! He also received the Luther Blanchard youth patch as he stood shoulder to shoulder with the adults, shot every course of fire, and never uttered a complaint!

THANK YOU to all the shooters for the learning attitudes and willingness to try all points of instruction!

Another great shoot at Annapolis in the books for sure!! Thank you to the instructor cadre, Ken, Jim, and Alex for stepping up and being there for the students. Job well done gentlemen! Thank you to our Applecore, Frogger, keeping all the admin stuff straight, the targets flowing, and reminding everyone to hydrate!!

Thank you BeSwift for making this a 'turnkey' event and making life easy for this boarder raider!

A huge Thank You to Anne Arundel for their continued partnership and hosting of Appleseed events!!

Blessings to all until we meet once again on the AS trail...

In His grip,
