Safety Notice:
Rifles must be cased and left in vehicle until after the Safety Briefing. Do Not bring your firearms out until instructed to bring them to the firing line. No loaded firearms on the range unless on the firing line and load command has been given. Eye and ear protection required. No illegal firearms are allowed. Some ranges are .22 rimfire only. At ranges that allow centerfire no rifle cartridges over 8mm cal are allowed.

Several campgrounds are located in Slade, KY about 45 minutes away.
Hotels:
Jackson Inn about 15 minutes away.
Paul's Motel about 15 minutes away.
Directions:
From Lexington: follow I-64 east toward Winchester. Take the Mountain Parkway east (exit 98) to Campton. Take exit 43 to Hwy 15 south. (toward Jackson) for about 30 miles. Once in Jackson (at traffic light) turn left on 15 south (in front of Shell station) go approximately 3-4 miles (about 1/2 mile past Walmart) to Hwy 30 turn left (before bridge) follow Hwy 30 about 5 to 6 miles and turn left at Hwy 2436 (airport road across from the golf course). Take first left about 100 yards (Smokie Dr.) Onto gravel road go straight (yes it looks like someone’s front yard) and club is at top of the hill. From Lexington this is about a 90 minute drive. Follow the Project Appleseed signs to the check-in location.
From Hazard: Take Hwy 15 north to quicksand and cross bridge. You will then turn right on Hwy 30 toward the airport. Follow Hwy 30 about 5 to 6 miles and turn left at Hwy 2436 (airport road across from the golf course). Take first left about 100 yards (Smokie Dr.) Onto gravel road go straight (yes it looks like someone’s front yard) and club is at top of the hill. Follow the Project Appleseed signs to the check-in location.

It is the responsibility of attendees to know and comply with all Kentucky and Federal Firearms Laws.
Misc:
Shoot your rimfire or centerfire rifle at 25 yards on Saturday. At the discretion of the Shoot Boss, Sunday afternoon may include a Known Distance component for qualifying participants at 100-200 yards.
Weather: The range bay being used may not be fully sheltered. If it's sunny, you may be in the sun. If raining, you may be in the rain. Bring what's appropriate for you and bring cover for your rifle if rain is expected. Events are not canceled due to the weather (with the exception of extreme weather, i.e. - tornado, severe storms/lightning).
Food: There will be a designated time for lunch and history. Food will be available on site provided by the host club for a reasonable fee. Bring what food you need or be prepared to purchase lunch from the host club. Leaving the range for lunch is not an option.
