Safety Notice:

Rifles must be cased and left in vehicle until after the Safety Briefing. Do Not bring your firearms out until instructed to bring them to the firing line. No loaded firearms on the range unless on the firing line and load command has been given. Eye and ear protection required. No illegal firearms are allowed. Some ranges are .22 rimfire only. At ranges that allow centerfire no rifle cartridges over 8mm cal are allowed.

Yes, on site primitive. Porta Johns and outdoor covered wood stove heated shower.

Hotels:

Cameron Texas (20 miles) and Temple Texas (25 miles).

Directions:

From Temple Texas take TX 36 East to Rogers.  In Rogers take a right at the light on to FM 437.  Follow FM 437 for ~12 miles until you get to FM 1915 (Tee Intersection @ Watertower).  Take a left on FM 1915 and go down one mile and we are on the left hand side of the road.  Red triple gates with box A logo on gates, white farmhouse up the hill.  11986 South FM 1915, Buckholts TX. There is a greyhound racing dog ranch right across the highway.

Misc:

Centerfire welcome - bring your .22 to save on ammo if you'd like. Even better - bring both.

Davilla features long-range out to 600 yards and, time permitting, qualified participants will be able to fire the full-distance AQT at 100, 200, 300, and 400 yards. 

Bring your .22 rimfire for Saturday/Sunday morning and a centerfire for Sunday afternoon.

NO alcohol is allowed on the premises!

What You Can Expect New Shooters - Learn firearm safety and the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship.

Experienced Shooters – Reinforce your marksmanship fundamentals. Experts – Polish skills and help instruct other shooters. Everyone – Expect to have a great time!

Condensed Boot Camp Notes

The Full Distance Camp is a shorter version of an RBC. We will be shooting to full distances (100 - 400 yards) all three days. All the aspects of full distance shooting from an RBC will be covered. These will include target detection, range estimation, wind estimation & correction, trajectory, and comeups. Multiple opportunities will be given to shoot full distance AQT’s.
 
No Tracer, AP, or incendiary ammo allowed (fire hazard, hard on steel targets). Attracts a magnet is  OK.
 
Equipment List
 - centerfire rifle only and 500 rounds of ammunition
 - eye & ear protection
 - shooting jacket, may be helpful
 - tarp, in case of rain
 - Binoculars
 - pen
 - permanent marker (2)
 - notebook (approx. 3 x 5 works great)
 - stapler & staples
 - masking tape (1/2”), tan or black
 - sunscreen
 - snacks
 - water (lots)
 - rain gear
 - layered clothing appropriate for the season, this could include a windbreaker, rain coat, light weight gloves
 
We’ll be shooting your centerfire rifle all 3 days. Make sure your rifle is sighted in at 25 yards/meters before you arrive at the event. If you’re using a scope, mount it so that you can easily use it in the prone position.
