Safety Notice:

Rifles must be cased and left in vehicle until after the Safety Briefing. Do Not bring your firearms out until instructed to bring them to the firing line. No loaded firearms on the range unless on the firing line and load command has been given. Eye and ear protection required. No illegal firearms are allowed. Some ranges are .22 rimfire only. At ranges that allow centerfire no rifle cartridges over 8mm cal are allowed.

Directions: From Atlanta, TX go SW 1/2 mi on Hwy 59, turn R on Hwy 77, go 1/2 mi. then turn L on FM 995. Go approx 5 1/2 mi. to Big sandy Ranch. At 5 mi., you will cross a bridge. At 5 1/2 mi. you will see a metal bldg., then a house with a flagpole on the left. Turn left 75 feet past the flagpole, follow signs to the range.

It is the responsibility of attendees to know and comply with all Texas and Federal Firearms Laws.

Misc: Event will start at 0800. Please arrive on time. All of the instruction will be done on a 25 meter range. Use your .22 LR to develop valuable marksmanship skills and save your centerfire for actual distance shooting later. Centerfire rifles are acceptable to use for the entire event if you wish. NO alcohol is allowed on the premises! Leave rifles in vehicles until after the safety briefing. What You Can Expect New Shooters - Learn firearm safety and the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship. Experienced Shooters – Reinforce your marksmanship fundamentals. Experts – Polish skills and help instruct other shooters. Everyone – Expect to have a great time! What You Should Bring A desire to learn and improve. A rifle (and a spare, if you have it). Optics are OK. At least two magazines or other speed loaders specific to your rifle. Ammunition - at least 250 rounds per day. GI web sling is strongly recommended. Eye and ear protection. Mat or ground cloth. Hat, sunscreen, rain gear, and appropriate clothing Water, lunch, and snacks. Staple gun, staples, pen, paper. Some friends!
