State Laws to be aware of:
It is the responsibility of attendees to know and comply with all Oklahoma and Federal Firearms Laws.
It is illegal to possess a concealed firearm, loaded or not, on or about the person without a concealed carry permit recognized by Oklahoma. Oklahoma recognizes all other state’s permits. Oklahoma law provides several ways of transporting a firearm in a motor vehicle that are affirmatively legal with or without a permit: As long as you are not a convicted felon, you may legally transport a rifle, shotgun or pistol open and unloaded, which Oklahoma law defines as in plain view, in a case designed for carrying firearms that is wholly or partially visible, in a gun rack, or in an exterior locked compartment or trunk.Misc: This is a wonderful facility with tons of room and steel targets out to 1,000 yards. Don't miss the opportunity to prove your skills out to the Rifleman’s Quarter Mile and beyond! Shooters are allowed to camp at the range for free, or may stay in the Badlands dormitory in the town of Grandfield for $10/night. Both center fire and rimfire rifles are allowed for this event. Shooters are welcome to use a rimfire rifle for the 25m portion of the event to save ammunition costs. However, on Sunday afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to shoot out to 1,000 yards on the full distance range. Shooters who wish to participate in full distance shooting need to bring a suitable center fire rifle, or make arrangements to borrow one from an Instructor. The use of armor piercing ammunition with a hardened penetrator core is not allowed on the full distance range, as it will damage the steel targets. No alcohol permitted
