Woman Hunter magazine has a very nice article (with some really awesome pictures) about Appleseed in their August / September issue. Intheburbs, the Michigan state coordinator is going to ask for permission to post the whole article. In the meantime, I’ll give you the introduction, as that will not violate copyright.
“With the passing of another Fourth of July, our nation grows yet another year older. It is at this time that we are acutely aware of the sacrifices that our founding ancestors endured to establish the freedom we now have. While this spirit of patriotism waxes and wanes at times in our great nation, the Revolutionary War Veterans Association (RWVA) rekindles the spirit of red, white and blue across our land, reminding us what it means to be an American.”
Jennifer Anne Brozek wrote the article. Lisa Snelling is the publisher of the magazine. I met Lisa at the Deer / Turkey Expo in Michigan in February. Lisa is our LBOTG for our first ever Michigan Ladyseed which will take place at the Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club August 20 –21, 2011.
As a side note, and to inject some humor, someone asked me where the Ladyseed was being held and I answered, “Grand Blanc”. Their reply was, “That’s okay, tell me when you remember”. After a short confused pause on my part, I replied, “Grand Blanc is a city in Michigan”.
