I attended the morning session of the Appleseed Shoot in Skowhegan, Maine this morning.  I did not shoot, but looked for ways to help out.

It was a good chance to meet the instructors (Firewall99, BrotherMark, Carl, Tony, and Russ.)  I don't know the forum screen names for the last three.

A couple guys were particularly good working with the kids.

It is a small group, with less than 3:1 student to instructor ratio.  So, folks are getting plenty of attention.

Weather was cool and windy, partly sunny, and the ground was wet from recent rain we had.  But, no rain today.

Most rifles being used were variation of Ruger 10/22's.  One boy was using a single shot bolt action, so a bit of a challenge there.  There was one AR15 using a .22 LR upper, and two M1 Garands- you can tell when those go off.

Tony was doing on the spot auto bolt release work, which made me wish that I hadn't purchased and installed them before today.
