I am getting the question alot regarding the minimum age for someone to shoot at an Appleseed in WI.  There is currently no age restrictions for target shooting in Wisconsin.   The first question to ask yourself is if your child has the patience and maturity to be on a firing line for hours at a time with others and follow the safety and shooting commands given.  There is no bench shooting at Appleseed as all positions rely on the shooter and their body to support the rifle at all times in the sitting, prone and standing positions.
It is the responsibility of the individual shooter and the responsible adult to ensure that they are aware and that they comply with all State and Federal laws.

Along with the drop in minimum hunting age to 10 years old, there is no longer a minimum age to target practice in WI.  So long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian or someone designated by the parent or guardian over the age of 18 years old they may target practice.
