13 Registered, 11 attendees. Ably assisted by 2336(IIT), Rothbardian (IIT), trailblazer (IIT), Johnny Eoff(IIT) and George(IIT) -husband of trailblazer. George and trailblazer are the collegiate shooting coaches for a local university so I felt especially honored to have them with us.
The attendees included 4 repeats- those persisting in their quest for Rifleman- one of which will not accept the Orange Hat until she achieves the score in the AQT, even though this is her 6th Appleseed. The attendees: two police officers, one early college high school teacher and her son, the son of Eoff, a retired university professor who is also a High Power shooter, two soldiers (one of whom will be deploying to Korea in a month and will continue his Appleseed Rifleman quest there) and Raul who has persisted through two Appleseeds and will be back again now that he has solved some of the physical problems. The history was presented, Redcoats engaged and we were off the quest for perfecting Riflemen. In the end, 3 persisted and triumphed- Liz- a female SWAT officer (210); Bill- the High Power shooter(228); Patrick- a patrol PD officer from an outlying town (238). All were awarded their Rifleman patch and all will continue to return to assist as possible. Liz' return this weekend was especially gratifying as she had originally been scheduled to attend an earlier Appleseed and was persuaded to attend this one. She says she is mighty glad she came.
Not much else- the weather did not matter as we were indoors. All participants were grateful for the air conditioning. The professionalism of the instructors in training and experience in teaching marksmanship were a pleasure to work with. Made my job easy. Now onward to the July Appleseed!

Edited to Add Raul- how could I forget him!
Rifleman. That says it all.

Hi West Texas, nice to see you!
Good job on the ElPaso shoot.
I would sure like to assist you sometime. I loved ElPaso + the indoor venue sounds interesting too.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
